Create The Ultimate Currency Sink

@Fourist

I've actually always thought going past 6l is a cool interesting concept. There aren't really many cons because:

A.) The mana cost will still soar extremely high making some combos impossible.
B.) Damage is still relatively capped thanks to the reflect mana making some extremely high dps combos impossible.

I'd imagine most people with an 8l would just run the standard 6l build but throw on low to no multiplier gems (iir/iiq/blind/chance to flee/etc.). It wouldn't anything too nuts, hehe.

However, I guess an 8l would make soul reaver even more super godly ahah. Imagine an 8l pure damage skill that you could spam nonstop, dear god.

Or a sporker adding iiq and iir and still doing the same damage
Make a vendor recipe for a guarantee 6-link orb. Say 200 exalts plus 666 fusings. The orb does not drop.

It wouldnt work like that

You would still use 6 sockets but have the ability to link the top left vertical and bottom right vertical sections.

My idea is this would somehow improve the interaction between the two specific gems that sit in the spots between the bonus links. This could be with a cost reduction, a additional quality or level boost of the gems etc.

Obviously there would have to be balance and tweaking for gem combinations but someone with enough time and effort could make it work.

An orb that is twice as rare as exalts. It adds 1 or 1% to the value of a random stat the item has, with no cap. Another orb twice as rare as that would work on the base values of the item instead like damage.

The values of the orbs would be fixed to exalts, trading 2 exalts would give you the first one, trading 4 would give you the second.
Bullshit, you get the game for free.

Is this, like, you'll give a free exalt to whoever comes up with the most weird one? That would, of course, actually see use?

Wisdom Scroll Fragment, usage #2:

Apply it to an Alteration orb, and get a new, random currency item, anything from a Wisdom Scroll to a Mirror (at their normally dropping rates).

Orb of Relocation (Non-drop; purchase from a vendor for 3 chance orbs)

On use, player teleports to random area within current dungeon/floor; can be placed on your Actionbar. No guarantee that where you land is any better than where you left from, unless you've (of course) already cleared the floor up to the boss.

Orb of Prismatic Shift (rarity, roughly the same as an Eternal)

Use on a skillgem to cause it to randomly pick a different color and primary stat, without changing the skill's effect in any way. I can just see the QQ on these forums from the people who didn't get the combo they wanted in the first 3 uses, but boy will it get USED.

Orb of Bolster (rarity: about an Alteration). Costs the same as an Alt from a vendor, but cannot be traded up higher.

Use on any non-persistent skillgem (no auras, curse, etc.), that gem's NEXT use will be 50% more potent.

Orb of Confusion (Non-drop; purchase from a vendor for 1 transmute orb)

On use, causes user to emit a totally random sound or visual effect, including but not limited to, any sound or visual effect currently in the game, as well as any created just for kicks. Has no actual gameplay effect, cannot use more than 1 per 3 minutes in town.

Orb of Treasured Eyes (rarity, about the same as a Glassblower's bauble; can purchase from vendor for same price as one)

Any Currency, Rare, or Unique item on the ground will have a persistent glow on it. Lasts until you leave the zone.

Add a Map Vendor

He will sell you Basic Non-magical maps and I would suggest that he has a random assortment that changes each time you level:

LVL Cost

66- 5 Alteration

67- 5 Alchemist

68- 5 Scouring

69- 5 Blessed

70- 5 Chaos

71- 5 Regret

72- 5 Regal

73- 5 GCP

74- 3 Divine

75- 1 Exalted

Just a thought...probably not the correct ratio's...but just an example :)
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul...
Maps, but not the maps we have now; maps with a fixed, viable, highly variable, and fun affix system.
