Ring is actually amazing for level 11 so it has that going for it. Anyone using searing bond will use it.

It also has unique properties that allow for some interesting ideas and also allows for future interesting builds. It's conceited to think that 100% cold -> fire can't have some interesting applications. Do remember that it also makes it so you can benefit from both cold and fire nodes. It has a 100% conversion so both are excellent while using this ring.

Three dragons + FP + that ring would be amazing for shocking due to FP shotgun mechanics is the first competent build I can think of.

Disagree. For builds that can reach max block without perandus the evasion on this shield is worth a lot more than one block node. I know this since I was searching for such a shield in nemesis and it took me ages to find one. This shield is a cheap alternative for that.

This is the shield that took me ages to find. Not much better than the new unique.

So much hate for this ring. I think it's a pretty great accessory.

You guys don't have to bitch about it, if you don't like it then don't use it.

I think the ring might have some good uses, need to try it out though before i judge it as either great or junk. GReat for seering bond it seems

I definitely like the ring more than any other unique this patch.

Perandus 2.0, block flask, and spell echo staff are boring and uninteresting. None of them add new mechanics. By comparison, this ring has a new mechanic that we haven't seen before -- automatically destroying corpses.

It can be good.
It can be bad.
It actually makes you think, if even for one second, and that is what uniques are about.

Strawman arguments. Leveling uniqes are 1 step away from vendor trash, so searing bond argument is out (especially since you'll be using it for 1 mod too, just a different one).

Unique that needs another unique to work is just a bad design.


Combining burn damage with corpse destruction is mindbogling. How could this go live? Who is testing?

Funny how no one realizes how good that shield is for Necromantic Aegis build where you reach high block for your minions.

Someone will be using NA when snapshot fix rolls in? Why? Minions can be resummoned (and without the hassle, mostly), player cannot. Interesting idea though.

Well there is avatar of fire as well. Using it with hatred and 2 pyre should give 250% conversion, if i am not mistaken that is and if they stack with each other.

Ofc this should be done with infernal blow or maybe that quiver. 100% phys to fire and 250% cold to fire if i am right. we will see how this turns out
