How times have changed. Back in my day they only came as new born.

Grats all the same, I hope the twins arrive safely.

There was a game called Dungeon Master that I use to love to play. Whipping the imps and hearing the succubus being tortured was a lot of fun.
edit - It was Dungeon Keeper not Dungeon Master.

If you liked Dungeon Master you should really check out Legend of Grimrock

This looks more inline of Might and Magic which was/is? a great series.
And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit - The Tick

53 here, I have stopped playing games around the end of the SNES days to raise a family. My two Kids are now in their mid twenties and I find that I have a lot of free time now. POE reminds me so much about my first RPG game Ultima, not Ultima Online. I was playing Ultima on an 8088 computer running DOS. When you want to play you had to first install the operating system from a 6 in disk and then the game. (The 3 1\2 in. floppy wasn't invented yet). I'm glad to see people as old or older than me playing POE.

I don't miss this much.

But I really loved autoduel. Car customization was awsome.

! great game autoduel!

i remember i made a courier with paint cannons or w/e it was - it'd blind and dodge and out run everything

Loved autoduel. Get the subcompact with the biggest engine. Get smoke screen, oil slick and paint sprayers and run like hell. If you had money, you could get the compact and carry packages. Woot! And don't ever get out of the car.
When I was old enough to spend way too much money on a Pentium 100, it came with Descent. That was a fun game. You could make yourself dizzy if you focused too hard.

That computer still works actually.

Not a surprise to see that majority of the people in this thread have supported GGG. Goes to show that if you have some money to spend, PoE is well worth it for many people.

I'll be 38 in January, and my first gaming experience was on an old atari system. When I was about 8 I got a commodore vic 20 and in spite of the long load times of cassette tapes, enjoyed playing games on it. Soon after my dad got my brother and I a commodore 64, and I really grew into loving that system a lot.

One of my all time favorite games from the commodore was Legacy of the Ancients. Other favorites of mine were the bard's tale series, pirates of course, the monkey island series, the entire gold box series from pools or radiance to pools of darkness.

When I got a pc, I spent a lot of time logged onto bulletin board systems, playing games like Legend of the Red Dragon, Barren Realms Elite, Solar Realms Elite, Trade Wars, Pimp Wars hahaha.

One of my favorite pc games is Tie Fighter. I still love the Jedi Knight series, JKO, and JKA, even now. At this time I mostly play poe or team fortress 2. Or I spend time watching my daughter play roblox hahaha. She loves spore too and that's a great game to play, I really got into building some fun things.

I was also heavily into the MU* games, the one I stayed with the longest was based on a tabletop series game from White Wolf, called Haven of the Embraced where I worked as an adminstrator and builder for his wonderful world. He still runs it now, but I've since moved on I only seldomly visit to say hello.

I have you by 14 yrs, and there's a few things I'd like to do as well as I did a few years back.
All these games listed amaze me. I never knew all the possibilities. When I was 17, I was playing with a SB2C. I was the slide rule generation, not even a calculator.

That's old man...:/

Just hit 40 a couple weeks back. Maybe the mid-life crisis is coming, maybe it's not. :) I'll let you know when (and if it happens).
Looks like someone missed their weekly meeting of Douchebag's Anonymous.
