Hello Community, and You game Dev
I would like to ask, whether you think it would be possible for POE to go into those platforms,...

What is your opinion?

It is something that GGG have certainly looked at...

Free-to-play games don't only have a home on PCs and mobile devices. There is the possibility the RPG could eventually come to Xbox One and Playstation 4. Rogers said Grinding Gear is, "Definitely thinking about it...There are certain skills that just wouldn't cross over. Like, for example, in this game you can target any place on the screen and you just couldn't do that with a controller...UI wise it is hard. But we are definitely thinking about [it]. It wouldn't be surprising if one day we were to announce something like that."

I really hope they don't, not sure it's good for the game at all.....

Do you have a non-hypocritical reason for why?

aside from the game being unable to upgrade if it goes to console, i agree, it should be cool to play on a playstation. every "adventure" game is more enjoyable with a DualShock. specialy PoE where you just run around looking for mobs.. it becomes annoying to do so with a mouse.
It would be nice to have the option to play with full controller support to enable POE on Steam BIG SCREEN on PC/Consoles such as the Alienware Alpha and competitive Steam Box PC Consoles.
I have to say it would be awesome. This would enable me to play with a friend in the same room, as I only have one computer, but I have a PS4. Also the possibility to switch between both or being able to play PoE anywhere sounds amazing. Of course, this is far from being done. Also its questionable if console players could play together with PC players.

But, a freshly starting PoE on a console, no uniques, no currency spreaded over the market sound interesting. Of course you can have that if you start to play a new league right when it begins anyway. I don´t see PoE coming to a console in the near future.

If you arent capable of moving the pc to a tv then wait for the steam thing coming out in November. Why invest in any console? This gen is shit.
I don't know how these PC master race circle jerks happen on the forum of a game where having a good computer doesn't matter because the engine is shitty and unoptimised and not only is modding unsupported, but you get banned for it. pls
is today the day of the necro threads?

Also PoE with a controller seems kinda rediclous
I dont see any any key!

I think it will be too hard for GGG to port PoE to console... due to their smaller team size.

Then since Xbox and PS4 are both based on AMD APU, PoE might not run smoothly like Diablo 3 could without a full engine revamp.

And then if GGG really do port PoE they will have to make a build in button on the controller that allows /oos on rapid fire mode...

Lots of trouble... for questionable profit.

PoE is not Diablo 3... PoE is f2p while D3 sold over 12 million copies just in 2012... the demand for PoE just isn't there for GGG to justify the cost of the development, let along all the technical difficulties GGG will run into due to their bad engine and synchronization design.
The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

Welcome to PoE.
