Let the developers spend time on new content and ideas than porting out game to consoles.

aside from the game being unable to upgrade if it goes to console, i agree, it should be cool to play on a playstation. every "adventure" game is more enjoyable with a DualShock. specialy PoE where you just run around looking for mobs.. it becomes annoying to do so with a mouse.

PC elitest are ignorant to console development nowadays. Do you guys even realize that the hardware in the upcoming consoles are both based on x86-64bit architecture. That is the same system that is in all of your PCs. It wouldn't be so hard to port PC games to consoles anymore, and the days of shitty console->PC ports are coming to a close.
I would play PoE on a PlayStation. "Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most." - Ozzy Osbourne

Why? The only reason to get a console is for the console exclusives, and poe isn't a console exclusive.

PC elitists aside (as they are correct in full effect)....
There is no reason why any game cannot be played on a console. This does not mean every game should be made to play on console. Let's face it.... games are put on console and have to be dumbed down for the control methods (and the thick as shit players who derp their way through games thinking they are elite with their console skills...lulz). If PoE was to go onto console then it would have to be easier. That would not be beneficial to the game, the community, the developers or the people who buy it for $60. Also on console it would be expected to be a fully finished polished product that has regular updates alongside the PC. Financially this would kill a development studio the size of GGG (presuming they are a small publically funded team). Even with the exhorbitant prices of console games. With the dawn of the x86 PC architecture consoles (booooo to that I wanted to see Cell shine like Naughty Dog showed it could) consoles CAN be upgraded. Also in the future they will all be cloud gaming systems which are essentially dumb terminals. This will mean most game development companies will automatically have cross platform gaming (as long as the game engines support the cloud architecture. So to sum it all up... Go buy diablo3 and be content that at least you get to play that pile of tripe game to extend your epeen. Wait for cloud gaming then you can play your games on your console. However why would you want to do that when you can hook up a ps3 / xbox pad into your pc and get better performance out of your pc than your console. Footnote: the guy who was disappointed by Microsoft at E3 has every right to be angry at those fleecing bastards trying to take ownership of the games YOU paid for and not let you swap them. What if you bought a house or a car but wasn't allowed to sell it on? I will buy an Xbox ONE the day they come out and dropkick it into the face of the nearest fanboy in the queue. |

This is a good idea. But I don't think ggg can do this.Developing a console game is very very expensive. But if Poe does very well in the future, maybe Sony or Microsoft will buy ggg as their own studio, then the game will appear on console platform.
