Bounty Board

The LFG Boards in each town should also have another tab that is enabled at different times each day, maybe only for a couple of hours every day.
There will be a "Wanted" poster with a giant monster or very powerful pack of bandits or whatever, and a brief description. Clicking "Accept" will teleport you and your group to an instance leading to that monster. Killing it will get you lots of loot and something you can turn in for rewards that are different every week... currency, a random unique or rare item, or maybe even two respec points. This adds yet another endgame activity to the game and possibly would work within all the game's other existing mechanics. Perhaps you'll be queued for this and go in with two groups at a time, so 12 people fighting through an uber dungeon with a raid boss at the end. I like this idea it is reminiscent of daily quests in some MMOs.
A type of daily event that is simple enough to be randomly generated. Those events don't necessarily have to drop more rares. They could instead drop specific currencies with higher odds. |

+1 (1 event a day per account) Keep track of bounties collected by character, have it's own ladder -- Providing opinions since I was old enough to tell my sister she was ugly. |

It'd also keep people logging in every day to see what new boss they'd be fighting.

Take this one step further
Call it the "Daily challenge" Make the daily event a random thing: Timed dungeon Bounty kill Survival challenge Scavenger hunt (timed) Fetch me this.. This way there will be incentives to try different things Collect Challenge tokens to sell back to the vendor for mystery boxes Have a ladder for each of the event types, and one ladder for overall Challenge Master -- Providing opinions since I was old enough to tell my sister she was ugly. |
