Performance Conclusion = CPU/RAM more dependant > GPU
Tested it out some weeks ago:
My System ATM:
Spoiler
i5-2500K@4,5GHz, ASUS P8Z68-V PRO GEN3, Noctua NH-D15
Corsair Vengeance (2x8GB) DDR3 1600, Sapphire Radeon Vapor-X R9 290 Tri-X OC Be Quiet! STRAIGHT POWER 10 (600W CM), Intel SSD 320 Series (120GB), Samsung 840 Pro Series (256 GB) With my 2500k (non OC) and my R9 290 i was running with ~60 FPS and HUGE breakdowns depending on aoe- and groundeffects. So i took time and learned bout OC (normally i buy a new PC but since 5 years no awesome new single core power was released) So i went up from 3300 Mhz to 4500 -> Results: Running with 140-200 FPS xD SO -> CPU SINGLE CORE POWER is the way to go with POE. (I still would love to see an option to cap at 60 FPS, because i dont need more to be happy) |
