[0.11.2] Onslaught League - Double Strike Duelist - 5 Aura's - 15% Lifeleech (updated on 19-07-2013)

Im at 4.2K now, going for Unwavering now first. Then the last 3 Life nodes so Ill be around 4K. The points after that will mainly be DPS.

10K isnt that realistic mate, 7K is really high and I think thats around the max (or you must get an insane Claw with over 300 Phys and high Attack speed).

Why is Added fire damage used? Have a build similar to this, but I use melee phys. Not sure why added fire is used. Feel like I'm missing something. Builds all physical and melee phys will scale better with a physical build. Am I missing something blatantly obvious?

Think about reflect ;)

I take no dmg from reflect because half the dmg is ele dmg and half is phys. Have no troubles dealing with eather kind of reflect this way.

I feel that if you went purely for the physical damage it would hurt on physical reflect ( I have not tested this ).

By spreading out the elemental dmg and the physical dmg so that its around 50/50 you will leech enough life back to be immune to the reflect.

Still going strong here, atm around 5K DPS, 10K armour, 3700 Life, Capped 20% on all Resistances and 56% positive Chaos Res. Still have items to upgrade but Im fine as it is.

Will be streaming again from monday because then I'm at my home address again with a good connection.

I'm only level 28 so far and this is a fun build. I still lack a bunch of items also. Thanks!
I am currently working on making this build happen, kind of tough with the gear, link's,and color slots but it's almost done. Quick question though, on the chest with the double strike, melee splash, multistrike combination if possible would it not be a great benefit to instead use a increased area of effect +QL blue gem instead of a added fire or faster attacks?

I've really been trying to research it and the aoe increase would make your triple splash cover a much wider area and not only that, with the main idea of this build being attack speed, Life % on hit, would you not be hitting a much larger group of mobs and therefore increase your lifesteal amount per hit by a huge amount?

Yeah, i have one question too: "Evasion and Energy Shield" gives a negligible amount of mana. Maybe its better to spend points for Unwavering Stance and "Armour and Evasion" nodes near it? Especially if i am playing on Default, and dont need traps and curses as much as hardcore players.

I got 20Q on my Melee Splash which really buffs your area of affect so I havent felt the need for it and went for extra DPS instead. Also while you may increase the area with the other gem you will lose on pure DPS (thus lifesteal) when tanking a boss. Area isnt going to help you then, you need high DPS for single bosses. So I don't think it's worth switching out gems for Increased Area of Effect.

The colors on your items shouldnt be too hard to get. For chest piece just use Ar/Ev gear. Guess you could get it to work with pure Evasion gear but it will take some Chromatics as you need 3 Reds which are off-colours. I just went for the easy way :) As for the rest of the gear, try to get Evasion as it will buff your Armour but Ar/Ev gear will do just as fine.

It might work, I will have to test this out to see if I still have anough Mana left. Remember that I don't use my Beartraps for DPS but for drops. The curse...well I think every build needs a curse and Enfeeble is the curse for Melee based characters. Even on Softcore it would be strongly advised to use this as dying there will prevent you from leveling up and getting stronger :)

Btw, I took Unwavering Stance :)
Here is my current tree at lvl 77:

And this is my current gear:
Spoiler

As for myself, I haven't been able to play for much as I'm watching over my sisters house and dogs and it seems they have a crappy connection. I'm not risking my character based on this. I will be home on saturday or sunday so I will start playing and streaming again from that point on.

Guys maybe this is just me, but are the 3 nodes bear unwavering stance really picking my interest especially for this build because perhaps with them you could easily run a 6th aura that is 30% Mana, and definitely a 6th aura that is like wrath 310 or something.

Check it out, you would also get 50% armor on top of it getting to the 3 nodes.

- "Armor" Node : 10% Increased Armor
- "Armor" Node : 10% Increased Armor
- "Riddle of Steel" Node : 30% Increased Armor
- "Arcane Efficiency" Node : 10% reduced mana cost of spells

"note" - You could stop here and only use 4 points to get 50% Armor and the 10% Reduced mana cost of spells, or you could continue with 2 more points and get.

- "Reduced Mana Cost" Node : 5% reduced mana cost of spells
- "Reduced Mana Cost" Node : 5% reduced mana cost of spells

I don't know maybe its just me but this seems like it might be sexy to try. Could possibly run 7 auras which would be dope.

I don't think anger and wrath are the most important aura's to take. They will increase the DPS by a bit but you won't get more lifeleech (you only get lifeleech out of your physical damage). Sure it's possible but another 7 points to get a bit more DPS is quite alot.

This is the direction I'll be going (lvl 88):

And if you are really optimistic, this is the lvl 99 build:

More DPS, more Life, more Armour and more Shield Block :)

But no one will probably reach that point im afraid
