Another merciless rogue exile thread
I quite enjo their strength, you just got to run away if theyre too hard I find, maybe thats not the greatest design ever Ill admit. The only one Ive though 'oh fuck this thats just way op' was the viper strike one that stacked me and I died within about 3 seconds through 3 health pots being spammed from full to empty and over 100 life per sec base regen, I thought that was excessive. the others have been super hard but take 5 minutes over them and they go down, some you can just faceroll very quickly.
the temptation is to faceroll everything in an arpg but sometimes you got to just play it by the numbers guys, abuse cover, attack and retreat, spend ages staying safe and chipping at their health pool. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

One of them just permafreezes you in merciless, the one with the glacial hammer and frost nova. Beating them in merciless is not impossible, but it's very challenging and most of the time requires you to portal out or switch flasks. The freeze one facerolls you without remove freeze and cold flasks. A decoy totem also works pretty well.

" I've had multiple exiles in docks, most are fine. Though the rangers tend to cause the party to remake a new instance. I've also had a exile spawn in the boss room with Piety in Lunaris. As far as I know, the only restrictions where they can't spawn is where any hostile monster can't spawn. Divination Card - Emperor's Luck.

Glad to see I'm not completely alone in this sentiment.
More info: My friend and I are both pretty solid gamers all-around. We have a large base to pull experience from and generally master most games we play. We tried several approaches to all of these guys, including using cover, switching tactics and gear, alternating aggro, and generally exploring options. There isn't much you can do strategically to a character that can two shot your tank. :P Overall they are fun change of pace, but a little bit strong. Once again, wouldn't mind if they were strong in the "farm" areas of the game where gear can be expected to be better, but when you are forced to portal zerg in Act 2 merc when everything else has been going fine, it feels off. " 1.7k hp is "massive defenses"? I think you need to rethink your position. I've only died to Orra Greengate, I have 2900 hp and still do tons of damage. i too fas fo youuuuuuu Last edited by Duskbane#4733 on Jun 16, 2013, 4:51:49 PM

Here are my encounters:
Cyclone exile, found him in solaris temple merciless, he had so much regen it didn't matter what I did, killed me twice, asked in chat for help, the two us us barely killed him and I think he spawned as 1 man party mob. ROA exile, found in lunaris temple level 2 merciless, also had incredible leech or regen, killed my 3 augmented sentinels 9 zombies and 12 skeles in an instant, she had 3 curses on her died 4 times and gave up. It is incredible how much life leech and/or regen they have, now I just avoid them, they drop shit anyway. All other exiles I encountered in lower difficulties were challenging but manageable, those in merciless act 3 are way overpowered. Btw I tanked piety at level 63, no problemo.
