Saying "Scrubcore" is offensive and should be banable/mutable.

I don't mind what people want to call it, it's not my problem - I play in Standard and Anarchy 'cos that's how I enjoy the game.

For the minority of Hardcore players that refer to Standard as "Scrubcore" there are probably three times as many that wish they wouldn't use that word and behave with that attitude - as it looks bad for all of them.

I have respect for those that can play this game with permanent-death, I'm sure it's exciting and I understand the idea behind it - but it just isn't for me and I'm fine with that.

Well said F2Pelerin2010, it's a shame some feel they need to use the term to feel superior, or gain leaverage over anothers play style. Games are meant to be fun, something that you can relaxed to and enjoy however that might be.

There are pros and cons in both leagues that have been pointed out in the thread though, to the OP I can only suggest that you don't let the term get the better of you. It's not worth it, for those that get that satisfaction from saying it.

I'm sorry lol but saying you are "skilled" in a game where you manage 1-3 skills and click everything with 1 hand is laughable. What's really ridiculous is these 12 yr olds insulting other people for how they choose to play actually feel tough online. Personally let them scratch at you with their school girl insults. These type of people need to vent. They all have daddy or mommy issues and it isn't just POE, their kind plagues all online games. They are a disease to the Internet. The new age emo. They do it for attention.

Playing HC in PoE is simply dumb.

So I wouldn't bother how poor people who constantly starts from scratch due to desync are calling you
I understand being annoyed at "scrubcore", but softcore shouldn't annoy you. Softcore is what it was called for quite a while when hardcore first was added to the ARPG list of features. Some of us just continued to use it, because it's easier than saying standard or normal for us when were thinking fast.

I play softcore too, I play both hardcore and softcore, and I feel fine with calling it soft.
I play softcore because i can use new builds without worrying about deaths as i find that enjoyable instead of using the standard builds everyone uses, i really wouldn't care what some kid calls my play style to be honest there just weird for saying it in the first place.

I started playing Onslaught, just so i could call the Hardcore players ScrubHC players!

Anyhow, people really should stop making a big deal out of it, who cares? I really dont get how people go all "i play a game in a harder mode, this equals me beeing a better person", before realizing how wrong that sounds.

You guys play scurbcore/scrubanarchy/scrubHC /thread. Suckers.

Better person no, better player yes by logic, one who can reach high levels without dying is more skilled than the scrub that keeps getting headbutted by rhoas, and therefore a better player. Granted no one has reached 100 yet, the time will come and it will be with 0 deaths clearly.
not this again....

The irony is 'pussycore' is actually less likely to encourage 'pussy'-like play than a league where you can die only once.

Aint that the truth. i can rarely get a party where people give 100% of what they got to give to a fight. I'm not afraid to die.
