Worried about the new supporter packs

if I were able I would have purchased a custom avatar a long time ago. It's a neat idea on GGG's part. They are free to play, got to save ALL the free to play alternatives as a way to make money.
I'd argue that for a lot of people gaming is a time and a reality sink where they can play and then live another day. There have been MANY, MANY nights that without gaming if I had to sit here and stare at the wall and cope with the amount of pain I am in daily which gets 3000% worse in the middle of the night - yeah it's not a pretty thought and I wouldn't be sitting here typing this right now. There are positive ways of looking at everything. Since I came down with this damn pain disorder, I'd swear to the fact that GGG and gaming has saved my life a few times. " *hug* This game does something similar to that for me too. Their tagline could very well be "Who needs drugs when you have PoE!" or "PoE all the pain relief, none of the side effects." And my personal favorite: "PoE, your pain is our gain." |

Look at it this way, they lose nothing by creating such an expensive pack option and one of the ongoing complaints is a lack of diverse monsters which they do not have the money to fund at the moment.
The 12.5k will go to funding the physics, art and new work that will be required. I think though that it should not be a monster but a new skill that then will be balanced to the game. If I had 12.5 k at my disposal I'd pay for a new skill not a new monster as that seems rather pointless when there are not enough in game skills to make the monster do stuff we have not already seen. I think they have the right idea of making something priced that large given how many diamond supporters there were but they are not offering the right thing that would attract people to it. |

I can`t afford the 12.5K Ruler of Wraeclast pack, but I think my Eternal Diamond level of support will do just fine! :)

" Honestly, It's your money to spend how you see fit. You can't help the whole world, but even helping a little, you're doing more than the average person. Not to mention, helping people isn't always a financial thing. Just spreading the word about them helps more than paying. As for your support for PoE, I tip my hat to thee. Wait, do you have to be wearing a hat for that saying to work? I've seen them... and they've seen me.
