Expensive hobbies like collecting Swiss Watches, antique cars, Robotics, Remote controlled planes, travelling, scuba diving, piloting aircraft stamps, butterflies can easily cost way more than $12500.

except this is 12 THOUSAND DOLLARS! If I was a millionaire I wouldn't spend that on a video game. It is irresponsible. There is so much more good that money could be doing. Imagine how many people you could help with that kind of disposable income!

By the way, for 12,500 you can do a 5-star luxury vacation in the caribbean, plenty of massages by beautiful exotic girls inclusive.

Well I really like the game, but I gotta say these packs are kind of too big for me.
I agree that you can (and should) support this game at least up to a standard price of computer games though, if you are playing and enjoying it much.

Having a $12.5K pack doesn't remove the option to only pay what you can afford (say $10), so I can't understand how anyone could even have a problem with it existing. Surely more options = better.

Not really anything for me here though, sadly.

I have no desire to purchase shiny effects to slow down my old PC even further, or a pet that does the same.
Forum titles are no big deal to me, and I'd probably have it turned off anyway.
I know y'all <3 your custom avatars, but after many years of posting on forums that allow users to select their own and change it at any time, this just seems like making people pay for a function that is unrestricted on 95% of forums anyway.
All huge numbers of stash tabs would do is encourage me to be a lazy hoarder.
There just isn't anything I want to spend points on (they don't add to my gameplay experience), so any pack I buy would be far more of a donation rather than a purchase on my behalf.

I'd happily buy a T-shirt or something by itself, but this is not yet an option.

[PS] I know there's a lot of MtG players around, so let's compare "Ruler" pack with the cost of a decent vintage deck...and that's just 75 little bits of printed cardboard.
