I've just seen 48 bots in two minutes.

Weird, I've never seen even 1 bot... o_0

*Burnt out and waiting for either PoE1 League or new PoE2 Classes.*
I think what some are trying to say is. One form of technical multiboxing, really just multi clienting, is having multiple accounts and either using multiple machines or one machine with multiple clients running. (If they really wanted to they could make it so that only one client ran on a machine at a time) Either way. If I'm alt tabbing or running back and forth on a machine that seems perfectly legal to me. If I take the time to level two or more accounts/characters how is that any different than you with your one account leveling and getting currency for your two or more characters on one account? The only reason people do it this way is because we haven't gotten a /players x tag as to make it easier to farm. Hell if I can survive merciless piety with 5 people sitting in the corner (all leveled up mind you) and kill her with my main account. Why not let me have more loot, technically I feel like I have earned it since it does become more difficult.

I totally agree bots ruin the game for all of us. Even though the default league economy doesn't really matter since this is the dumping ground for everything and people don't seem to understand that still. It still hurts the average player. But even if they could track multiple accounts, I feel like this type of playing shouldn't be considered cheating the same way using scripts and macros should be. I do wish GGG would come out with some sort of statement on what is cheating and what is not. Hell if they don't want me to use my alt account to farm bosses then tell me, I'll delete my account, or give me a /players x tag so i don't have to waste server resources on having two loggins at once.

Regardless, I think people need to understand the differences before they start yelling at the mods to ban accounts left and right.

Multiboxers going on how it's all ok to do so because the devs agree (i.e. can't stop it) is just like laughing out-loud and waving a middle finger to all non-abusing players.

One, you are not a "non-abusing" player. You're a player. Just like a multiboxer is a player.

Two, by your idiotic reasoning, GGG is also flipping you off. Why are you still here then?

Three, multiboxing is something anyone can do. You've chosen not to. If you want to self limit yourself, that's your call. As for multiboxers, there's nothing inherently unfair about doing something that others have chosen not to do.

Sad that some players can't tell the difference

Fillering= Player starts client and moves characters via alt tab in 2 screen range(slow and painful)

Multiboxing = using a tool that simulates clicks on several screens as a poorly written followbot.

Yah, I can't figure out what people are talking about in this thread with everyone using there own definition.

I would hope GGG is against follow bots. Manual multiboxing, or 'fillering' is just playing the game. I can't believe they would ever ban for that. I can't tell if people are raging against fillering in this thread or follow bots. If the rage is directed at fillering then lol! "ZOMG!11! I hate you for getting an advantage that I can get myself by making a friend!i!! RAWR!!!11!"
One of the main reasons I don't play as many online games like this anymore is the bots and spam. Multiboxers absolutely destroyed WoW PvP. Botters in EVE etc etc. I just feel that it's a waste of time when having to deal with these people that play the game to make money and or grief with multiple accounts. I was thinking of playing PotE again with the email that was sent out today but I may just have to pass after seeing how many complaints there are for bots. Not that it directly effects me playing casually but I just don't like it and any place where botters and multiboxers are welcome is a place I will avoid.
I really think if GGG wanted us to get more loot, they just simply could boost the drop rate, not this multibox shit.
Or if you could say "well but 1290123785-boxing you could get more loot!!!", GGG could just gift to use every piece of gear with every combination fo sufix-prefix and it is over, since that's about it, right?

And then they are whining about inflation...

To me this blabberish is just a futile excuse; you can say it and it is social acceptable, but we both know it's e pile of steaming, dirty, filfthy crap.

Funny how abusing mechanics that exist to make party gaming better is considered by some a "playstyle"

You trick the game and you get the loot that is supposed to be for 6 ppl just for yourself , if thats not unfair advantage i really dont know what is.

But hey no problem , everyone can do it, its a choice right ? the game is meant to be played this way in fact i think its better if we disable the party with others completely since the efficient "legit" way of playing is partying with...yourself

Fun thing is that i dont really care about multiboxers , it just annoys me that they openly admit doing it and trying to convice everyone that its just a "playstyle"

They are secretly Chris's bots. He is testing anti-bot programs against his own bots.

almost as funny as this post. looks like you need a reneducation....

if you go to the bank and the person in front of you has a 5000$ Limit on their credit card as opposed to your 500$ limit, are you going to complain to the bank and tell them the person in front of you has an unfair advantage over you in life because of this..

didnt think so.. i think its time to get real and just admit that non multi boxers are really jealous of those who multibox (even if its legit). I sure as hell am but in no way do i think multiboxing is morally wrong unless bots are used of course.
