I've just seen 48 bots in two minutes.
" So? Although being slower, you still get more loot and experience. There is no downside to this. Multiboxers going on how it's all ok to do so because the devs agree (i.e. can't stop it) is just like laughing out-loud and waving a middle finger to all non-abusing players. " QFT. I tried Multi-boxing to see what all the fuss was about and just couldn't be bothered with the hassle in the end even if it does mean I get less gear. There's a BIG difference between Bots and Multi-boxing. Botters don't even have to be at their computers. There's NO downside for them. Multi-boxing still requires you to control the characters and be physically present to play the game. Anyway, back on topic, it's good to see GGG are continuing the war against bots and other game exploits. There has to be a low point where some people stop complaining because it's just not worth it, and I have yet to see it. - Squeakypaw, 2013

I’m tired of the limp wristed approach to multi-boxing. GGG needs to start banning players for use of ISO-box or give players access to /players6. I’m getting tired of “It’s okay to exploit the game mechanics as long as you do it manually *wink*wink”.
What they need to do is detect and ban players for the use of ISO-box and disable the group bonus for unique bosses. I really don’t want to be forced to cheat to compete. IGN: Wrathmar * Paulie * Client

" It's ok for a party of different people to get more loot , but not for one person to control 4 characters to get that loot? I don't see a problem here. However, I *do* see a problem in people tele-porting a bunch of characters into an instance just to be present at the final kill to trigger the "more loot" mechanics of the game. This applies equally to all parties be they 10 human players or 1 human player. If you want to get the rewards for fighting through an area as a group, you should all have to fight the battles, not just turn up at the end. Anyway, I'm helping to derail this thread. Will stop now. There has to be a low point where some people stop complaining because it's just not worth it, and I have yet to see it. - Squeakypaw, 2013 Last edited by obadonke#0693 on Jun 4, 2013, 8:41:32 AM

Boxing is not botting.
GG peeps have a great day! |

" Yes, because in the first case the loot is shared among several people, whereas in the latter case it's only one who gets the loot meant for four. With certain powerful builds that can do 15k+ effective dps over a wide area it doesn't even incur extra effort, other than taking the time to move other characters in range of the main damage source. Additionally, people with large resolution displays and powerful PCs get an additional advantage doing so, since it'd be way harder to alternate between clients on a 13-15" laptop compared to a decent gaming PC, which, in essence, makes the whole affair pay-2-win. <Tyrfalger> Exactly, the next act is going outside Sarn and into those wheat fields (see the map) to become a farmer. Then we can spend our days endlessly farming. Wait a minute... Last edited by moozooh#4289 on Jun 4, 2013, 8:48:46 AM

those BOT can be banned very easy.
GM sends /whisper "Hello this is GM xyz" Bot doesnt answer GM tries again for a few times Bot doesnt react GM teleports into the map where the Bots are and tries again to contact Bots run their paths and ignore GM and everything, they loot and move static GM > Suspends account´s for 1-2 weeks and waits for the reaction of the owner Best if GGG bans them completly like the GMs in Guild wars 2 did with many of these idiots. |

It is really a cat and mouse game. GGG can stop the average regular hacks but the good hackers will always come out with counter measures to walk around with the defenses.
To regulate a constant system in order tackle these advance exploitation requires much resources so I do not believe it is fair for a small company like GGG to seek outsource consultations or have an internal team dedicated for such cases. Well GGG can try, but it is an exceedingly enormous task. These hackers are really smart. They are not script kiddies! |

Sad that some players can't tell the difference
Fillering= Player starts client and moves characters via alt tab in 2 screen range(slow and painful) Multiboxing = using a tool that simulates clicks on several screens as a poorly written followbot. |

" It's dreadful that GGG have let ppl believe that this is the case. A real disappointment. |
