Thats how Hc should be played, all gems items in bag and gear the player was wearing should be erased from the game, HC players are SOOOOOOO hardcore here you dont need the character anymore anyways right. Why do you care if I give a fuck or not

I find it exactly the opposite. When ever I tell someone that I play HC, they get all defensive about playing in standard and get belligerent when I tell them that it's fine to play in either. HC players typically don't even care what happens in standard.

It's not the mode... it's the people you're talking with. There's asses on both sides of this.

The reason why I don't play standard league is because it doesn't feel like anything.
It's just a grind, pure time sink. Everyone will eventually hit lvl 100 sooner or later.
Not with HC, anyone can drop off anytime, and that's why I can't get myself "motivated" to play soft.

Here's a suggestion to make SL attractive:

Insert a optional "race mechanic" when creating a new char.
This would track many statistics such as average exp/hour, time spent/level, total dmg dealt, dmg taken, distance travelled, etc.

All this data would create a public profile and the top players would get ingame currency and rewards. So it doesnt matter if you are 30, 40, 60 or 90, any char above 20 will have their stats registered and ranked. If you are good, you get rewards. If you slack around like a noob, you get nuffin...

With that in place, hell even I'd play softcore.

I am sensing some insecurity from a few members of the SC player-base.
I always see people complaining about how HC people think they better, but I very seldom see these so called HC people saying these things...
Maybe the name should be changed from standard league to Moan-core.

Noobcore slave race you mean? HUr dur gaise I play sc and I'm soooo gewd at pOE, I die every 2 maps and almost every dps node possible and can click "resurrect" faster than anyone rank1 Internet tought guy Ftw leet 1K HP+ES -take 3min to clear a map homie and 5 days to level with the death penalty.

I don't fucking care where you play. I do care when a fucking noob like this one thinks he's better than anyone else for stupid reasons. You want to fear death ? Play HC. You don't want t fear death ? Play SC. You want a glass canon ? Play SC. That's all I need to know.

I'm really tired of this useless and endless fight. I won't judge you on how you decide to play this game. The post I quoted is just an example of a stupid douchebag playing in SC. We could find some example of a douchebag in HC telling "U R IN SC OLOLZ NOOB". For me, they are the same : douchebags, and that's all.

Whats the difference>? I played 800hrs sc in d3 and about the same in HC, when I died in HC it was mostly to rubberbanding or disconnects, and in the end the farming was exactly the same. Just because you get off to HC dosent make you a better player, you just look up cookie cutter specs and play defensively. HC is so HC

I play HC and SC. I play HC almost as if im on SC, but SLIGHTLY more defensively (playstyle-wise, not passive wise). I prefer Melee over Range or spells, and dont like Cleave. Assuming that all HC players play the same way, and have the same passives is ignorance :)

And in few days we'll see... "You play hardcore? You suck kid, i'm from Onslaught trololololol"

Some people just want to feel superior somehow
