I'm actually going for the extra mana nodes right under that, I'm realizing once i get a 6L and i add another dmg gem (possibly culling or faster proj) I'll need that extra mana :)

As far as the bottom right dmg nodes not really, its 5 points for not that much atk speed n dmg, It would be better to use 3 and go into lethality for 120% more crit.


Ah yeah makes sense. I wasnt sure about those crit nodes becuase you mentioned in the OP that if you dont go balls deep into crit, its not worth getting. I didnt know if those 3 crit nodes would be worth getting or not.
Nice and fun build to play, at least my variation of what you had earlier is. Gear below, lacking in resists as much as the passives are in life, I'll try and fix the passives a bit when the patch hits. Mind Drinker doesn't feel as necessary now as it did earlier, I was at one point running hatred+clarity, dropped to just hatred recently. Puncture is really nice with all the crit chance (and some more from the support), chance to flee on it seems to work a bit weird.

What did you choose as the bandit rewards? My own choices for normal and cruel were made before the full respec to this build in last patch, so they are suboptimal (resist and skillpoint, for this build life and damage would've been better). I just stopped farming Fellshrine at lvl69 and the bandits are next. Frenzy charge would of course be nice, but I tend to forget to use the skill completely.

I've also been running a variation of this, my own build of sorts I guess. I was always interested in the charge mechanic of this game, and wanted a character who accumulated a lot of charges but didn't want to roll a discharger.

Absolute ridiculous amounts of DPS as well as crits. Frenzy is around 15.5kdps, Split Arrow is between 7-4k(Sometimes I use Pierce, sometimes I use chain) when I get my charges up. It's really neat, even my friend said its fun to watch me "rev up" like a car. At first I start normal, then I charge up and stuff just drops. Def. not a build for any sort of Hardcore(or OS) League, that's for sure. I'm pretty tanky, 3.2kHP and close to 10karmor when I have aura's up, but any sort of reflect maps turn out bad for me.

I run 6 auras, Wrath+Anger+Grace(With the BM Helm, swap back to dps helm when casted) and Determination+Vitality+Hatred from mana.

And my gear isn't really the greatest, at least yet. It's definitely a ton of dps, you just have to be very aware of reflect anything and prepare as best as you can. For Phys reflect maps i just bust out my blackgleam, but for ele reflect maps i have to drop auras and run haste instead of hatred.


How do you post your gear on here? im looking at my gear compared to others, and altho my bow is a little low on the phys side... about 160-180 phys damage... i feel like my DPS is lacking alot. i got my resists capped and im sitting at about 2k dps at the moment. I have all the phys dmg nodes and proj dmg nodes that the OP has, but my frenzy and Split arrow are doing really garbage damage. something around 4-6k... and thats with 7 frenzy charges. Only my split arrow is 5 linked at the moment: SA,Mana leech, Life leech, faster attacks, added fire dmg(which i can switch out for something else if needed, but it works well since it uses a % of phys dmg)

Thanks for the info! I will try out what you recommended, however since added fire uses physical damage to add the fire damage, wouldnt it do more then WED since im stacking phys dmg nodes? Also, if thats the case, am i better off just getting a thicket bow with a bunch of ele dmg on it rather then just a high phys dmg bow?
Also, i thought Faster attacks was one of the main supports i SHOULD have linked with it, but since i attack so fast anyways, i guess it does make sense to use pierce. Thx again! ill try this out.

Updated my gear and new tree for 11.2, I'm now running with 6 frenzy charges (wish i took the bandit charge :/) and stacking heavy into crit again. I'm taking quite a bit more mana nodes and i have about 960 total mana now which lets me run: grace, anger, hatred, and wrath with no mana issues (still using mana leech on split arrow).

The real kicker about the new build are these:


Since i have 6 frenzy charges now and wearing these boots (note the 1% life regen per frenzy charge) I am able to run blood rage with no side effects at all because the life regen from the boots on full charges counteracts the chaos drain from blood rage. Blood rage also gives you 7% life leech so i don't have to waste a gem slot on life gain on hit or life leech and i can stack all damage gems.

I'm only running with 1600 health but with the life leech on gear and from blood rage its plenty of regen (not to mention the mobs barely make it to me before exploding into a pile of ice).

I switched my ranged totem to explosive arrow just for shits :)

How are you liking the switch from Phys dmg to Crit?
Ive been viewing the forums and seeing a few builds now that are all pretty similar with small differences. Im uncertain of how i should build myself tho.
I noticed you didnt take the 1st Evasion and Life node off the ranger start which is a pretty strong node considering it uses both your main defenses... but i guess down the road once you can maintain mana from gear more efficiently you can drop out of the mana nodes for some more beneficial nodes. Looks great tho!
Also, if you dont mind me asking; What kind of DPS are you pulling with SA and Frenzy now? (and before, if you can remember). The reason i ask is cause i thought my dps was a little low with a bow that has pretty much the same phys damage on it.
