Do minions benefit from charges, auras and equipment?

hmmm a necro.....

as far as i know kills done by your minions arent your kills that explains why i cant get blood rage frenzy buffs on a minionmaster or dual sparker/totem in general

if thats the same mechanic you wont get any loh from gear

I'm running the haste aura with minions, but they don't seem to get the green graphic ring that comes with it. I'm assuming they are still hasted, based on this thread, true?
If I have shield passives and necromantic aegis, do those passives benefit my minions?

No, other shield passive nodes besides the 2% additional block chance for Minions will never affect Minions even after you took Necromantic Aegis.

Not to necro a thread too hard or anything, all this info has been very enlightening to a n00b like me, but, is there any possible way to increase the charge cap on your minions? I feel like charges could be some kind of niche hipster crit build and increasing their max via some gemming or a specific unique could open up interesting interactions from spectres in 3.0 and other skills like frost bolt, ice shot, etc.

There is a talent in the passive tree, which gives your minions the stats of your equipped shield. If you find a shield that increases the charges, then it will apply to them.

There's only one shield in the game that increases # of charges, Malachai's Loop. And it is really bad for minions because of its "shocked when get to full PC" mod (they cannot remove shock or become immune to it like player can).
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
So really it's a toss-up between Victario's Charity and Malachai's Loop; while the loop grants increased charges, Charity provides huge opportunity to generate power/frenzy charges on your minions. Only one of the two for Aegis. Kind of sucks.

Well the main problem with loop is it removes all power charges periodically (the shock can technically be removed with flasks + umbilicus).
So minions will constantly cycle between 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 (5 is their max but hitting 5 immediately sets them to 0) meaning on average they'll have 2 charges. Pretty bad.

Only "real" use for loop I can think of is putting it on an animate guardian with an Esh's Mirror passed on to him as well via Necromantic Aegis so he reflects shock to nearby enemies reliably. Would work on previously unshockable bosses now as well.

And the topic of increasing max charges once again reminds me that GGG still hasn't added Selfless Leadership ;____;
