Do minions benefit from charges, auras and equipment?
Hi there,
I did a research over the forums to find out if minions, e.g. zombies ans skelies actually benefit from auras and charges ... I was not able to find the answer so far. In general I am interested in to build Necro that can share buffs with the minions...especially Hatred, Frenzy. I've read somewhere that the minions inherit some of the equipment stats from the caster, like weapon dmg +life items and so on, is that true? GG Last bumped on Aug 24, 2017, 12:30:08 PM

Minions do benefit from auras, and if you can give them charges somehow (Conduit?) they should benefit from those as well.
I know for a fact some flasks have "minions gain x% of the life gained" but I'm not sure about your other equipment. i too fas fo youuuuuuu

auras work on minions. charges have no effect on minions.

Minions benefit from auras, but I don't know of a way to give them charges (they don't benefit from your charges). Conduit won't do this. It specifically states that it shares charges with party members, which are other characters. If it said "allies," it would apply to minions.
"The only case where minions benefit from your gear is when you use the Necromatic Aegis keystone, which applies all bonuses from your shield to your minions instead of you. I believe minions can gain endurance charges by landing killing blows on enemies affected by the Warlords Mark curse. Whether they actually benefit from the charges or not, I couldn't say.

So it seems that the only viable build is to use the summons as a meat shield and to spam ranged spells ... boring. Damn it!

Minions are affected by auras and charges (monsters, including minions, actually get more bonus from charges, than players do).
Auras are relatively easy to get to affect minions (start aura and move close to minion), charges are hard to get on minions. Last edited by Mark_GGG#0000 on Apr 29, 2013, 4:52:49 AM

Raise a Spectre boss ape, and you can get Frenzy charges on your minions (or so it used to be, at least). =^[.]^=
