Looting -- The official thread for discussing the loot system. Updated 18th March, 2013.

PoE is assigned/allocated loot for 2.6s base time and after that ffa.
So for the first 2.6+ seconds the drop "belongs" to someone.
This is the current state of PoE, whether you see it or not, whether you like it or not.

Hey Vooodu.

What should we call this class of players then if not ninjas? Since for the last 50 pages you've been so adamant to point out there are no ninjas, let's for the sake of argument agree with you.

Mind answering these few points? I'm almost certain you fail to answer these like you have consistently failed to answer almost every question posed to you in the last I don't even know how many pages.

But I'll ask them anyway.

1) Are you actually claiming this group of people (which you self-admittedly are one of) does not exist? Hint: Talking about the group that other people call ninjas.

2) What would you call them then if the word 'ninja' is offensive to you?
I will like for one day Instanced Loot to be implemented...i can see Vooodu quitting the game...=D really like to see him rage around..=P
just a troll, dont mind it.
/ignore works wonders.
People are imposing their own sense of right/wrong and beliefs on a system that doesn't support it.

There's no such thing as ninja'ing or stealing in this game, period. You can make up whatever fake rules and make believe codes of conduct you want, but they are completely unofficial and have no legitimacy other than in your own mind.

... and people are imposing that FFA is hardcore or the "Real" way of enjoying an aRPG.

What is there then? We need to call it SOMETHING or else we can't discuss it.

What's wrong with you so called 'FFA crowd', you keep getting stuck on semantics so you don't have to discuss the issue at all.

The issue people see is "people take loot which they believe is rightfully theirs since the game RNG allocated it for them, even for a little while". People just happen to call those loots taken by other people stealing, and people happen to call the people doing it ninjas.

If you have better suggestions for the vocabulary, I'm all ears. But it's going to be really difficult to entrench a new vocabulary into a crowd of thousands or tens of thousands.

So, how about we just call them ninjas and stealing so we can actually discuss the issues, instead of one of the groups being idiots who are totally unable to discuss things because of semantics. I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader to identify the group unable to discuss.

Why would i rage or quit if they made it instanced loot?

Sure, it would be boring and and bit disapointing for them to cater whiner/carebears. But, GGG already made the mistake of adding loot timers in the 1st place, so what ever.

Honestly, it would still be the best ARPG currently to play.

The difference between the two camps is that the game officially supports FFA, not individual, loot.

The people who like individual loot can make up whatever unofficial rules they want, but that's clearly not how the game is officially designed.

Feel free to ask them to change it though.

Pretty much this.

At the end of the day. People who constantly bitch about wanting loot options or change are only seeking a way to legitimize their 'way' of playing and thinking.

Even tho the actual creators of the game are against it.
