Wrong, they are trying to give feedback on a system and hope GGG listens so the majority of the player base has a better game.
I base 'majority of player base' on the fact that still many public groups are 'respect loot', even though that rule is impossible to enforce. And ALL mapping groups are 'respect loot'. So from my not-so-limited experience with the game, most players prefer 'respect loot'.

Even tho the actual creators of the game are against it.
Creators of the game usually change their approach if majority of their player (and fan) base is against it.
Also there are no grounds to call 'instanced loot crowd' carebears, no more than there are grounds calling the 'ffa crowd' carebears.
PS: Vooodu, still haven't answered my questions a few messages back. You really don't like to discuss, do you?

There's no such thing as ninja'ing or stealing in this game, period. You can make up whatever fake rules and make believe codes of conduct you want, but they are completely unofficial and have no legitimacy other than in your own mind.
Pretty much this.

We are just looking for an option to make party play with friends enjoyable while not slowing down the pace of play that would be required to manage the loot system externally (roll system and the like). That is all. The only problem I see with it is that it would completely kill the current system because very very few parties would use the current system due to it being simply not fun for the majority of players to fight for loot drops.

I think the best way to play is with friends or 'cool' players.
When i play with friends we ingore allocated timers. But, we offer up needed items/gear.
Mainly because allocated loot timers mainly drop things that someone else needs.
We understand what each other is trying build and help each other as best as possible.
This is something NO loot system can offer. Instanced or FFA.

Well everyone needs fusing orbs. Everyone needs chaos orbs. My friends and I are pretty decked out with gear so we are not finding upgrades to our gear ever. However, we all want 6 sockets to sell, we all want glorious plates and imperial bows to chance... allocated loot divides the drops evenly without us having to try to manage the loot system for the game. This is a simple QOL upgrade that would make the game infinitely more enjoyable in a party setting for myself and a VERY large portion of the player base.
Currently the only way to play is solo imho.

If nobody actually wants to play with FFA, then why have FFA looting?
The thing about having a party leader decide what looting system goes in their party is that so long as people actually want a certain kind of looting, that way of doing things will be represented in-game.

So what if GGG goes full instanced loot. What if GGG goes nuts and gives everyone what they want.
And then another amazing ARPG comes out that once again caters a certain style of game.
Does that mean everyone will move to that game and start demanding changes too?
Would that be the perfect moment to come back to POE and hope they revert it back to the way it was?
Where does the insanity end? And at what point does one realise that if you want it your way, make your own game or play one that caters to what you want.

You have fully mastered the art of double spacing and the slippery slope argument. Grats!

Well there are a few people that want FFA looting, I just doubt many people would join their parties if there were options. I would assume about 5-10% of the public parties would remain FFA...

1) Please give me a list of ARPG's similar to PoE but with looting options/instanced loot.
2) Feedback never ends. But this issue in particular ends when GGG makes up their minds.

Not how i see it.
In CB loot was full free for all. Look what happened the moment they introduced named timers to help ranged/laggy players. The ninja revolution happened and everyone was crying thief.
Im just saying. Where does it all end?
And if GGG does make all these changes to try and make everyone happy. And another game comes out that caters to a style of gamer. Does that mean everyone will move there and start the same song and dance again?
When and where is it ok for game devs to make a game they want for people who like it?
