The latest exploit caused by current crappy loot system:

Players put on high mf gear and destroy public groups by joining and just running for crates and pots, killing nothing, not participating in group just leeching the quant bonus from group to ninja crates.

LOL.. So now people are NINJA'ing crates. OooOh, Lorrdd NOOOOOO!!!

Not the crates!

But seriously. I see this happen sometimes. I've seen quite a few people do exactly what you said. Not ninja, since there is no such thing as ninjas.. But, they basically don't help anyone, run for crates high quantitiy drops and leech exp.

People like that fall under the Party Leaders LAW. Its up to them to kick the moochers.
@Vooodu, the problem with kicking the moochers is that they will be able to stay in your instance and continue leeching until you make a new instance. Furthermore, short of making the party private, there is nothing you can do to stop them from continuously re-joining the party to enter the new instances.

So the only mechanic available to enforce party rules is highly flawed. Though I must admit, I have no idea how to solve this issue. If people who were kicked were instantly removed from the instance, party leaders could abuse this to kick that person if a high-value item dropped in their name.
FFA loot is also killing the endgame. No one wants to run their dwindling stock of Maps with strangers who might ninja drops and new Maps.

Give us the instanced option and you will see a LOT more open games running maps and inviting 5 other players, for safety in numbers etc. So you would also solve the "not enough Maps" compaint as well as there will be public Map groups to join all over the place. Win - win.
Did you know level 91 is the halfway point to level 100? This means that a softcore character dying ONCE at level 85+ can lose many days of progress.

There is no ninjas. But, the map maker should get dibs on the map that drops.

That how i RUN maps.... Since i have so many maps it doesn't bother me.
The total lack of public Map runs proves you are the minority and the system isn't working.

By the FFA loot rules in the game, no he shouldn't. Whoever manages to pick it up should get it. So you are not even using the FFA system in your own Maps, Vooodu? That's rich. Pretty much the reason you have "so many maps" is because you are not using the loot system you so vigorously defend?

Anyway do you deny that instanced loot options would result in many more public Map runs, and that this would be good for the (end)game?

Dude... Reality check. Its free for all loot drops.

If I don't get the map drop... I won't open another map for the group. Simple as that really. Which is why its a good thing to respect people who make that rule. If you expect them to open another map you best SHAD UP and do what they say.

Everyones free to take the map and run. But, don't expect me or others to open another map.

See how that works?

That how you use the FFA loot system.

Also, i have so many maps because i find them all the time. Its got nothing to do with loot system.

I run map pub groups. Complete FFA. Although, I just run 66-67 ones in pub.

By the way, why would instanced loot make people do more pub map groups. People will get map drop, than not say anything. No one will know if maps are dropping. Your argument makes absolutely no sense.

Isn't the fear of maps being ninja loot, keeping people from opening up more public map groups? As you say yourself, if a map gets ninja, you won't open a map. So in the end only a few brave individuals are willing to open low level 66-68 maps. No one is foolish enough to start public groups for 72+ maps. Why is it that there are so many docks groups but no public map groups?

Endgame is broken because of FFA loot.
