Looting -- The official thread for discussing the loot system. Updated 18th March, 2013.
" I've said a long time ago id be cool with instanced loot as long as it doesn't benefit from party rewards. This is pretty fair in my books A simple toggle box by you character which can only be toggled on/off at the character select screen. NOT the abilty make instanced loot games tho. IM against that. We all need to be playing the same game. If someone wants single player drops but prefers to play with others im cool with that. |

" Oh, so you suggested it to be like in D3? Do you not realise that that would be like having +100% quantity per player instead of +50%? I don't want that because it's simply unfair for FFA, your point that no one would play FFA would actually be true. |

" Elaborate, because that didn't make sense to me at all. Well removing all of the quantity bonuses from drops might upset a bunch of people. As long as the quantity bonuses is significantly lower than FFA then it shouldn't matter all too much. What EndofEnds said sort of is what I'm saying: " Although 25% alone may not be enough. If anything something like 25% per added person would maybe be more appropriate? 1 person - 100% quantity 2 person - 125% quantity + 25%/person etc. 6 person - 225% quantity IGN: Mibuwolf Last edited by mibuwolf#7946 on Mar 16, 2013, 11:59:13 AM

" Discussing with someone that only wants to listen to himself is futile therefore i will go enjoy the game (and its current FFA loot system) and you just stay here and keep yapping and dismissing everything you don't like. Last edited by RestInPieces#6294 on Mar 16, 2013, 12:01:05 PM

" No penalty is required. But a compromise would be better than nothing, for sure. |
|
" Upset them? Why does that matter? Some people are never happy. SiCkness is already proving this. Look. If people want instanced loot they should get single player drops via a toggle switch on character select. It would already be alot easier to kill monsters with other players anyways. Why should they get ANY benefit from LOOT drops if they choose to OPT out of FFA loot. Hell, they still share the EXP. from the party. Whats the big deal? " And another one runs out of hot air... How surprising. |
|
" Well, 350% to 100% quantity is sort of a big deal. A penalty to not offer the same quantity party rewards as FFA would be suitable, but having 0% rewards may be a bit much. Why does it matter? Well, to be honest people that like playing single player already play in groups just for the quantity bonus. It's the quantity bonus that matters. If everyone had 0% quantity bonus then there really would be no benefit to going single, party with friends, co-op with randoms, instanced, etc. IGN: Mibuwolf

" I'm not? Why? Because you don't understand how things work and make ridiculous suggestions? The two interpetations of your suggestion that I said no to: No loot bonus for groups, but still more HP on mobs, so that instanced loot gives vastly less loot per player than FFA. No PoE-style pary loot bonus, but instanced loot works like D3 so that instanced loot gives vastly more loot per player than FFA. How about just not changing the loot bonuses at all and just split the loot would drop for FFA in an "instance" for each player so that instanced loot gives just the same amount of loot per player? That would make me happy. Last edited by Sickness#1007 on Mar 16, 2013, 1:53:48 PM

" The other pro-non-FFA guys may have different opinions but are at least capable of conversation. If i keep trying to converse with you i would consider myself retarded as well. |
