You must play on default lul.
I joined today explicitly a "FFA/Ninjas" group and just for the sake of it i joined with my 2xTotem tanky char to see how this works out, been watching a few ninjas earlier so i know how it works and what to do to look a bit busy on the battlefield.

I actually grabbed 9/10 items from the other players and i was standing just literally somewhere in the landscape scratching my balls while my totems did the job for me, so i had all the time to observe timers and loot.

The end of the story was that i've been kicked out by the group leader who opened up the ninja/FFA group, and 2 guys from the group were asking me to hand out their items... imho a bunch of disgusting hypocrites.

The moral of the story is; if you ninja a ninja all the time they're getting pissed about something particular.

longer timers means more focusing on combat, and so combat can be more involved and interesting, instead of a humoungous list of things I can only hope to click on fast enough and not lag too much before getting to instead of dropping totems and firing arcs?

The timer should start when combat ends if anything, don't distract players from combat when possible please.

Ignore what vooodu says. He is just a troll that enjoys consequence free confrontation. Your point is valid.

They should lengthen the timers and make the game more Difficult.

What if the timers for rare or better items were set to a localized area of the screen perhaps a larger loot box like that in WoW just for the designated player for the designnated time.

Then there would be less needing to run around mid combat to pick up items and less distraction from combat, seems like a more fair compromise then what is in place now.

Although in my personal opinion I will say I would prefer a loot system as far away from FFA as possible myself, id even take round robin over it. looting is not the most enjoyable part of the game but it sure takes up a big portion of it sometimes.
As a new player and ranger main, I wouldn't complain if there were no timers. The enjoyment of competition of no timers would more than compensate for the 'unfairness' with latency and range.

Put your fleshlights away and pay attention.

But if there must be timers, definitely take these carebears' name off of them, because I'm going to be taking the slow neckbeards' loot regardless.

Also, filter 'no ninja' out of game names, imo. It's an embarrassment to the game to see the game list covered with it.

community is trying to fix their game....the FFA system is an embarrassment to the game NOT they way community is try to "fix" it....

if loot system was perfect then noone would try to fix it, thus no need for a 800pages thread and half the party noticeboard stating "loot rules"

get some facts straight please
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself

Don't you ever get tired of calling me a troll?... LMAO.

The guy says 'the timer should start when combat ends' . And you think his point is valid?

When i play my melee class and im jumping from pack to pack keeping my frenzy/endurance charges up. The combat never really ends for me... I don't have time to wait for EVEN LONGER timers to expire let alone wait for combat to end... WTF end?

When does it end?

I need to time my loot pick ups when playing that class... And alot of time forget about certain drops and let the other guys have it. Just because its not worth slowing down for.

His point is null, so what ever.

This is 800 pages of carebears trying to turn this game into diablo 3, and true ballers trying to defend it, nothing more. Get your facts straight, please.

discriminating based on latency is regionally biased and suggestive of pay 2 win except only a portion of the population is even able to purchase such a connection (no FiOS available where I live for example). Ballers as you describe are just ninjas, but maybe thats why you were exiled here.

You could play alone if latency is an issue. That solves alot of issues.

Besides, NINJAs don't exist in this game. Its a fact.

Its perfectly clear that anyone who even thinks about using that term is clueless to what the game is meant to be. So, why should anything else they say be taken seriously?
