Wanting loot options is lame because it makes the game change for no REASON.

if No1 forum post with 750 pages and hundred of views is a *no Reason* i hope you never run a company lol you will mess big time

Oh common, 750 pages means nothing. As if the majority of the posts even matter.

I can post one thing someone doesn't like and they will spend the next 4-5 pages bitchin' about my comment...lol.

This actual thread has about 5-10% decent posts. Maybe less. This thread is basically a killer whale sized woman with a tiny thong on.. The thong being the actual useful posts.

Besides, if you are gonna say that being the most popular means something then people like rebbeca black and justin bieber should be in my audio playlists..lol

Straw man: A straw man argument is an informal fallacy based on misrepresenting an opponent's position so as to more easily refute it.[4]

Example:

Person A: Sunny days are good.

Person B: If all days were sunny, we'd never have rain, and without rain, we'd have famine and death. Therefore, you are wrong.

Problem: B falsely suggested that A said it would be good to have only sunny days, then refuted this misrepresentation rather than refuting A's actual assertion.

Also, a good intro book to logic: http://books.google.com/books?id=Ikp2dGWT5O4C&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_atb#v=onepage&q&f=false
Just click on "View sample" for more information than wikipedia would provide.

YAY, The straw man post. Also, using those terms is kind of bitchy and trolly.

Here, learn some real talk and get some funk in your step. You obivously need some.

People who leave would be a good thing.

Why? Why is people leaving a good thing? Seems it's bad for the game, bad for the company, and bad for the player base that cares about the game and company. At least in my opinion. It means, less testing, less potential income sources, and less players resulting in fewer games.

"
You can't please everyone. In any true art form this is impossible.

Trying to please everyone will just end up pushing away the true fans.

This is what we mean when we say you're being condescending. "True fans"? Just what describes a "true fan"? Is it like "Hardcore" players (not the league) where it's completely arbitrary and used to take up a mask of superiority? None of us are trying to say "Please everyone". Just "Address some of the issues (in this thread looting) to try and keep a strong varied player base." Mostly I see people asking for GGG to step up and take a stance, whatever it may be.

"
At a certain point someone has to say. Its just the way it is, love it or leave it.

Also, i keep saying the loot timer is the issue because it really is.

I don't think anyone is debating that. But instead of saying it over and over, how about you come up with something constructive instead of constantly saying "Suck it up and deal". Forums are a place to make suggestions, especially when a game is in beta.

"
The loot timer is the focal point of threads dealing with "loot whores, ninjas, longer timer options, people stealing and entititlement issues...

Now, where did that loot timer come from? From GGG trying to cater to ranged players/classes who can't understand how to pick up loot safely and quickly.

So basically, when i say the timer is the true root of the problem, im not bullshitn'.

Also, when i say catering to certain people just causes problems and divides the game, the proof is in the loot timer.

Yeah, the loot timer is a pain. But, again, do you have anything more to say besides "deal with it being FFA at the end or leave"?

"
You can call me troll or blind to your points. Well, maybe i can't see past the glaring truth thats right in front of my face.

This "truth" would be what? That the loot timer created more problems than it solved? Which we all agree on last I checked? You offer/bring nothing other than insults, and condescension. How about being constructive and trying to drive this topic back into something that could be useful to the Devs (even though we're apparently wasting our time). If you don't think this is going to go anywhere or solve anything why do you keep coming back?

An option to chose instanced or ffa looting when you create your party would be really helpful. If nothing more, it would at least give the devs an idea of how many people prefer one loot system over the other.

I feel like this already exists in a way just with the party description text. There's usually (at least, during busy times) a choice of groups with either FFA or no ninjas in the group title. Of course, it's not perfect, but it at least offers like-minded people a way to group up.

The problem comes from the people (a number of whom have posted such views in this very thread) who join those "No Ninja" game, jut to troll/grief because they find it fun/funny. Without it being hard coded this will always and continue to happen.

Yeah, but there's not that many of those people. Most people playing in no ninja parties seem to abide by the requested rule. One option too is start to friend people that do abide by the no ninja rules when they are in place and form groups with only those people once you have enough friends to make this viable.

Yeah. You could hide from the problem, or you can diagnose it and come up with a solution. The latter is preferred. Also, your 'solution' solves at best one or two of the issues, yet I've easily listed 6 or 7 issues with the loot system, and there may be more.

One more thing: "not that many of those people". Hardly a supporting argument.
