Sorry had to backtrack what you had posted. Point is you don't have to convince anyone in this thread that there should be a change to loot. You have to convince GGG. This thread is now just a mountain of people yelling at eachother with fingers in their ears singing "lalalala" - only my opinion matters "lalalala" (me included, yeah i know i can be an asshole). We don't know how many people are on which side, we think we do but we don't. Hopefully the good stuff gets extracted and sended to the dev-team. They have to make the decision. What i do hope though is that GGG sends a message about the whole loot-system soon, because not hearing anything for more then a year is plain stupid and ignorant from GGG towards their customers.

I never disagreed with you on the competitive nature of the loot system. Your still wrong about telling people they can't use the word ninja because its a "fact" that ninjas aren't in the game. IMO ninjas are in the game. You can argue about the allocation all you want it has nothing to do with what I explained to you in regards to facts and opinions and the use of the word ninja.

Why do my arguments bother you? Did the truth about not being able to attention seek from being in the hardcore league burn that much?

I don't complain, I state the flaws and laugh at these morons that fight for their side and have no idea that the issue should be resolved by choice.

If we can actually maintain some civil conversations, discussing the problem itself in a good manner, and discussing suggestions to solve that problem, I'm sure we can come up with something for the devs to see.

Right now this is not happening, since there are really just 2 people:
1)People that just create "Lol loot system sucks" threads to complain and vent and that's it. Or people that just tell everybody "No I don't want FFA, I hate ninjas bla bla"
2)People that as soon as anybody posts anything about the loot system says "Deal with it, it's fine as it is, it's cut-throat, and you don't have any loot for yourself, allocation is an illusion, ninjas don't exist, stop whining noob, etc".

Of course the devs won't even touch this subject if we keep acting like this.
Even the forum moderators said this thread is just "garbage" basically that no dev will ever read since it's like 700 pages full of rants.

If we can discuss the loot system correctly, i.e addressing the actual problems with both the current system and the complaints of said system, then yes, we can come up with some suggestions for the devs to see.

For instance, I've already stated some of the problems with the current system (it breaks the "usual party system" organization, for some players that have that mentality it seems "unfair", specially since they don't have a choice about it if they want to play socially in this game, etc); and I've posted some suggestions to solve it.

Now if people would like to stop shouting at each other, I'd like to see some feedback on these

Its a guarantee that the devs have at least browsed this thread every few days or so as it grows. someday we might even get a response or statement. But they know this thread exists.

I doubt they have read most of the suggestions and meaningful discussions made about this.
Why? Because it's buried under all those 700 pages and I'm sure they haven't read all of them (if they did then kudos lol)

BTW - i dont play hardcore, and I have witnessed you complain about this loot since the beginning. Again, i simply ask why you supported a game that was clearly not designed to cater to care bears.

You can have all the opinions you want, doesnt bother me, but you came bought into diamond (DIAMOND) knowing full well how the loot was. It was not a FLAW - as you put it, it was a design decision. And really, all you have done is bitch about it.

At least i save my heavy duty bitch trip for the things that deserve it, like lack of optimizations, untested content, skills that gaurantee a desync, etc...

It was a design decision that some people see as a flaw.

Furthermore it was also a design decision that has always been somewhat placeholder and not FINAL.

Yep, pretty much. If it's anyone's fault, it's GGG for not taking a stand on an issue. How long does it honestly take to deliberate this topic and make a public announcement on what they're going to do about it? Like i said before, if they make it clear in no uncertain terms that all the people who hate FFA loot such as myself should just quit, i don't mind. It would be better than this limbo situation we have right now where GGG may or may not do something about it in the future.
