Yes, that is why I would like to see that GGG make up their mind and decide what they are going to do or what they aren't going to do. That would ease the community and this thread down. Uncertainty leads to unrest

Once they decide and it still makes a minority upset then a new thread would be formed I'm sure. Unless of course they do end up going with a 'party leader has loot rules fix' then all the noise would probably be gone then.

Subjective.

the current system encourages behavior that is claimed as antisocial in the real world.
i do not have the opportunity to playplay with friends, as ranged char with a slow pc i am f*cked.
nevertheless i support the game and buy ueless stuff so the developer can improve the system.

but as i said, improvement would be adaptions aiming for lesse frustration and lesser rrewards for shitty behavior.
Because of the loot timer I am really put off from playing with others in a public party. On several occasions my loot has been ninja'd from me. You don't understand how unfair it is when you play with high latency on a mac port. The loot system really does not encourage team play and makes parties act almost as rivals, everyone is always ninja whoring instead of actually putting all their efforts in clearing the entire dungeon. Unless this changes I am going to play solo. This definitely doesn't help bring the community together. People will get extremely put off and pissed if they lose say a divine orb or something. The loot system in d3, I believe, is the only thing they did right.

Plus I have a suggestion. I would personally love an offline league that is completely separate from the multiplayer one (You can't ever play with others, you are just completely on your own), This way their can be no interference between the offline mode and the multiplayer, so no hacking. Thing that I loved about d2 was how I used to play it and how I always came back to it when I had no internet connection, or on a plain ride etc.
I don't know if this is an exploit or something, but people stand over your loot and no matter how many times you try click on it nothing happens till its already ninja'ed.

While I don't have to much problem with the current loot system I think timers should be longer depending on party size. Rangers have to Hug meele packs to ensure they get there drop .. kinda defeats the point of playing ranger.

I can feel your pain...Oo. Its people like you who make me change my mind about ffa loot.

I hope they do release a simple instanced loot toggle on character select. Its basically the easiest way to solve alot of problems for people who don't enjoy fighting over drops like vultures.

That way all loot drops as if it you where playing alone. But, you still get the party exp for killing monsters.

...Stop clicking on it over and over. Just click and hold it.

Thats the real trick ...:D

People are silly. I started a party earlier today clearly labeled free-for-all, someone joined and kept leaving their rares on the ground and then crying when people took them. I would have kicked them for crying, but... free loot. :D
