" No, I just felt our discussion had strayed away from discussing PoE loot and was more about identifying and pointing out the absence of logic/understanding in your posts. A.K.A. It started to feel like reddit. (I'm technically still doing it - I just can't help myself. Bad Panda!) " ... to let them know the game isn’t going to be very fair from here on out."

" No he got sick of being gangbanged by self proclaimed "white knight do no wrong anti-FFA" crowd. The fact you guys still think IL isn't easier still has me disgusted with the human thought process. If you tell yourself something so much even you start to believe it as fact. |

Wow, what a long thread... shows how important that part is!
Seriously, "giving the players what they need" by not even giving an option to select how loot it distributed... Well, if GGG thinks they need to cut their potential customer base down by D2-style-looting, who would be able to stop them?! |

" Feel free to continue your absense of logic in PM then. But I think you simply realised the difference between 'good reason' and 'reason' and understood that your side of our argument was based on a faulty premise. |

" You again. Everytime I post something about how the difficulty difference in FFA vs IL doesn't really matter you never seem to reply. "Il is easier" is really your last straw. |

This thread is already over 500 pages long, so this is probably going to fall on deaf ears but I strongly believe an option needs to be given. FFA looting can be set as a default (as GGG believe is 'right') but surely there's no harm in lifting this to instanced loot if the player opts in for it?
The current system is far too prone to ninja looting and doesn't speed up co-op play with friends as you still have to spend time sorting the loot after the action. Co-op with friends isn't as an enjoyable experience, which is a shame as it's an otherwise exceptional game. "Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do."

( Skiped the 4 last pages, I would bet they are like the few ones before that I just read )
Panda, I'm sorry, but from what I read, you seem to just be feeding a completely pointless debate that is going away from the topic. One of the main reason why I gave up reading the whole last 5 pages of the thread. So if you guys could just stop that and the thread ( as useful as it may be ) continue as an argument about the looting system, and not #whosaysthebestshit .... EDIT : should have read the last page, seems to be what's kinda happening :] Just wanna quote that though : " 1) I don't know if you play in parties sometimes ( I've done it for the act3 last bosses in cruel because I just coudln't handle it alone ), but when you don't dps, you don't get any loot ( or I should add a "almost" maybe, but there are some monsters I coudln't hit for some reason, being lag/no time to focus everyone with dual strike/was looking briefly at sth else and I didn't get anything each time ). 2) So .... basically, someone that half-screwed his build/gear, and is not able to dps/survive enough alone ( the guy who is probably grouping because he can't solo the quests past some point ), woudln't get anything, and thus would have to continue sucking until the end ? Seems like a really funny option for him. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. " Thats right! And I would like to have an option, so that it displays always for whom the item dropped, happens all the time when I group with my friends, that something died offscreen, an no one knows for whom the high lvl orb dropped, that's just silly. As bad as D3 is, but that is a point they made good. Now, I remember grouping with strangers in D2 and always trying to grab the good loot first, that was fun, but why am I forced to use the same mechanic even with close friends? |
