Looting -- The official thread for discussing the loot system. Updated 18th March, 2013.

This loot system ruins the whole game. If you dont have 5 friends online to play with you are screwed. Solo is just slower, why do you want ffa loot with this timer? Everything would be much much better with individual loot.

I'll keep playing regardless of the loot system, but while the system is free-for-all I'll just play with friends, when you have multiple enemies to kill is stressful having to run to pick up items in the middle of the battle.
I still think that individual drops is the best option. |

Jesus FC. What the hell is wrong with public games? How many times do I have to click on the damn item, which happens to be mine and has a timer going down, before it actually gets into my damn inventory? NO latency issues, I'm standing there clicking on my own damn item watching the timer go down before some damn ninja dick standing there right over it ends up getting it? Wtf? Fix this shit.

Preventing Ninja-Players from ninja'ing your items!
Ninjas are annoying! My personal suggestion is to give a MUCH bigger delay on items which are reserved for you. I would suggest 10 seconds. If someone wants that item and it's given to you (but you don't want it) there shouldn't be a problem for the other guy to wait 10 seconds until he can take it. Another option would be: COMPLETELY reserve it for the one who has the take-right, but giving this guy the option to UNLOCK the reserved item for everyone. For axample: - Rare item drops - The name is written below the item to show "this item is reserved for *Name*" - The guy who has the take-right can click on the item to take it, or can use strg+click to UNLOCK it for everyone. - If the guy is NOT interested, other people can ask for unlock or can wait 20 seconds for automatic unlock. That is PLENTY of time to ensure that the one with the take-right gets his item and still ensures, that EVERYONE has the chance to get it, if the one with the take-right doesn't take or unlock it. And now for something completely different.
Playing witch summoner / glass cannon / MF heavy low-lifer I have completely different problem: I can't pick item while there are monsters around ;) Some of them 1-2 shots me (especially in big parties). So... Even if loot timer will be 20 secs I still cannot simple walk into the heat of the battle to grab it. I think there should be at least option for party leader to toggle loot type: True hardcore FFA (no timer), FFA with timer (current version), extented timer (set duration), personalised (unlimited timer). And good guys from ggg will see which one is the most popular. IGN: Sociopathy Last edited by Blasphemous_Crossbreed#2092 on Feb 13, 2013, 7:03:54 AM

" Those items are not yours. You just have an extra chance to grab them. These stupid timers made even more whinners. Now ppl think if the item got their names on it, it's theirs. It's NOT that!! You just have a freaking extra chance. This genre never had issues like this. GGG shouldn't have implement this timer at the first place. Newcommers should either get back to the genre which they were playing before or just simply stop complaining. Last edited by prh#1855 on Feb 13, 2013, 7:05:20 AM

" so .... tanks should get the loots, and range should just watch. This is perfectly normal and fair. OK SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Feb 13, 2013, 7:14:45 AM

" I see, someone who didn't thought it through. High tanky people, who are always in the center of the fight, can grab everything directly, while witches and rangers are lacking the chance to get the items? And I think you get the timer, because if you were playing alone, that item would be "yours", but if you play with more then 1 person, the item would have originally dropped for you calculated by your stats (quantity, rarity) and therefore you get the chance to grab the item first if it is dropped because of your own stats. Fair and square I call that. I think it's just unfair that close range fighters have the advantage in getting the items, while players with range won't have a chance to get the rare drop. PS: I guess you are one of those ninjas who don't want to lose the privileges in stealing from others (or a close range fighter who loves to take everything) Last edited by AceNightfire#0980 on Feb 13, 2013, 7:27:18 AM
