A poll won't help because everyone doesn't use a forum or want to use a forum. You would only be taking a sample from a few to determine a major decision for the masses.

Its not a poll meant to decide anything. It's to collect atleast some sort of data to get a feel of the acceptance of the current system.

Then again, based on the controversy of the topic, it wouldnt be too hard to make server notes and advertise the fact that a poll is running, for example 2 weeks long and everyone interested should please vote.
As every player allready has an account, i think even players not posting on the forums will find their way to a simple mouse click. Atleast if they care at all. :)

IMHO

Not taking in to account the entire player base makes it pointless any way you shake a stick at it. Without the vast majority of players it will be very likely extremely biased one way or the other or perfectly balanced and then what? You leave it as is? Pissing off the oh so many people against FFA? Or do you change it if it favours change? Pissing off the oh so many FFA players?

Or you just ignore it and pretend it never happened? (It stays as it is, and really pisses off the Instance Loot people as they will feel ignored/unloved)

Patch notes won't do much but maybe a message at the log in screen will, especially if it had a link that could be interactive and open the appropriate page in the users web browser.

fevgatos the minimum length for loot drops is 1 second (Without taking in to account any players amount of lag). So for me it's more like 777ms of time before it expires according to my client and will take 233ms before my command to move towards it is acknowledged by the server.

So ~550ms time to collect it at best.

Since the same people constantly post the same thins il do the same.


Wether you like it or refuse to accept it... Well, its not your game and you didn't make it.

Its a FFA loot game and thats how the creators want it. Thats how it is and will be, for a while at least.

So really, its pointless to keep refusing the so called "pointless arguements" FFA'ers make. They are just repeating what the devs stated and enjoy it.

In the end, maybe this game just isn't for some of the people who continually complain about FFA loot. No ones forcing anyone to play this game. There are many games out there that do it in many other ways, including exactly how most of you complainers want it. Why ball and chain yourself to this game and demand a change?


....I mean the games called Path of Exile not Path of Least Resistance. :D

Nope. its not pointless.
You could argue, as you pointed out that not every player uses the forums, every single thread or post in this forum is pointless, as its not backed by the majority.
We could close this forum and leave it be.

The reason we dont do that is simply that:
the forum is a tool for communication, a tool for feedback.
The poll i wish to see, is nothing else. Its just a recollection of the posts in this thread, just with the difference, that the devs actually get some numbers behind of it, instead of counting every of the 1k posts.
Its meant to help the developers get a clue how the community is feeling about this issue.
You could aswell never close the poll. This way you would see how many have voted so far and which opinion they have.

And btw. polls dont work with absolute numbers. It is not required that the majority takes part in, as long as the numbers are representative enough.

In every technical development, you will need to do a verification and validation.
The poll is meant to help with the validation of the looting system and this only goes by questioning the player base. The result may or may not change the view the developers have of the issue. As others pointed out, the issue has influence on their gaming decisions thus are of interest for the devs.
Therefore i dont see it fit to declassify every post contra FFA as crying.

As with my proposal: i believe in the concept that the best ideas will prevail in the end and i wanted to add another perhaps new and interesting idea to the brainstorming pool.

FFA Defenders are all closed minded and they like ninja and grief and they even oppose to party leader option to change FFA/Non-FFA (we all can see why...)

i have already answered you....if devs didnt' want any feedback about looting they wouldnt' make THIS thread and asked feedback...we give them feedback you FFA defenders give them nothing you just say them " GGG you are gods, gogoo GGG you are the pinnacles of hopes"

I will defend FFA but also wouldn't mind if Instanced Loot was balanced. Then after I explain why it needs to be balanced, I am told that just because something is easier it shouldn't have a penalty...
