Somewhat, that devours everyone and everything:
A tree that rush. A bird that sings. It eat bones and smite the hardest stones.
Masticate every sword. Shatters every shrine. It defeat mighty kings and carry mountains on lightly wings.

/me hands SL4Y3R a mirror.

It is rather obvious the two of you have irreconcilable differences of opinions, and opinions is what you both have. No one, except perhaps GGG, has actual facts in regards to how many people are participating in public groups and of those how many are ninja loot averse or friendly.

This entire argument is ancient, and by ancient I mean it goes back to the early MUD's in the late 1980's and is entirely about the crossover point between PvP and PvE - between competitive and cooperative play.

To me, FFA is a PvP mechanism and inserting it into PvE without the rest of PvP is a garbage in garbage out operation. The vast majority of MMO's solve this sort of problem by giving the party leader a choice - an option - as to what type of loot system to use. PoE's failure to do this reflects the fact that it is not a MMO and without adding such a choice, will never be an MMO. Rather its just a collection of races, tournaments, of various length.

yeah exactly :) ffa in my book it is a really fast development system...mobs throw the loot the faster takes it...no need for additional development time lets players settle it...

Nope striker even if you´re enough other people in my house that want me to play those new pop songs. This won´t happen bro i have the houseright ;)

What i mean with this is we heared now all pro´s, con´s of every side. It´s now only circle jerking. GGG needs to decide they have the houserights. It´s enough.

GGGs si not a house, more like club.

They are running a business.

Not only that, but they are in the midst of an identity crisis. PoE is a *great* online AARPG and at the same time PoE is a *crappy* MMO.

Might not be a popular statement, but it is 100% true. This game is so utterly lacking in decent MMO fundamentals that it isn't even remotely funny. Everything from chat, through trade, guilds (what's that?), partying, and of course looting is hopelessly bad. Even compared to old MMO's - Asheron's Call or Anarchy Online for example, PoE is in the stone ages having not yet discovered fire.

If i´m running a club for classic and the masses want me to play tecno i just say gtfo if a classic club is my business model even if i could make more money with tecno. Example still is true about houseright. But thanks anyway for this veryvery! important correction of my illustration while total ignoring the main part. =)

But if you have an empty building next door that you could open a techo club in for practically no cost and make alot of money, why would you not do it?

I won´t argue with you guys now over the example i gave. That was total unimportant to the things i wanted to say actually. Can´t understand how someone can hang up himself on such minor things lol.

The main part i said was, sickness and frogs, that GGG needs to decide. Nearly 400 pages in just on one thread are more then enough. All the more when you count every other thread complaining about loot.

Those threads are only circle jerking as i said a few times.

this statement is totally wrong....

if you want to make money and live the big life (or support your family)
if you accept that with this style you get this little money then it is ok...
but changing IL from FFA is NOT like a change in the game genre
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself
