They released 0.4 1 month earlier in december, so no they are not breaking 4 month cycle promises.

Towards the end of April we will be announcing our full plans for the 0.5.0

Well only one week left and not a single note on what's happening, guess we will find out at the very best the last day of the month but unlikely.

Do you not think this four months turn around is killing the game? every time you do a new big patch the numbers of players coming back just keeps dropping as people find other games to play that don't die within 2 weeks and then have a 4 month wait for updates

I think a 4 month season length is fine. The real problem is that there isn't enough endgame content to support those 4 months. I reached level 100, and there’s basically nothing left for me to do. I haven’t played for the last 2 months.

Reaching level 100 is a goal, sure, but after that, there’s nothing meaningful I can do in the game as a level 100 char. So making leveling slower isn’t really a solution either in that case, I might as well have tired at level 90 :)

no end game + scared to do mid season nerfs and important fixes mid season because of emo players feels so bad. imagine how much better .4 would have been if they nuked snake right away. It could have still been really good and not destroyed the economy of a 4 month league in 2 weeks.

Pack it up — Diablo 4 launches on April 28, and GGG with their 10-year Early Access cycle has no chance of competing. Peak concurrent players already crashed from 500k at the 0.1 launch to 150k by 0.4.

That hint on the front page about November 7–8 pretty much says the patch is getting pushed to those dates. People coming from PoE 1 already know exactly what it feels like to wait a full year for an update.

I really don't see D4 as concurrence to POE 1 or 2. Also people seem to keep forgetting that even if there is still a lot to do, it is absolutely not normal, that you get this level of quality in an f*in early access.

I'm really amazed time and time again, how much whining this community is able to bring up.

I agree, people keep forgetting that it’s still in early access. I can’t even imagine how great this game is going to be, considering how much fun it already brings me. Of course, there are going to be some flops or imperfections, but that’s exactly what early access is for.
