Content Update 0.3.0 — Path of Exile 2: The Third Edict
Looks really good,
Still would like to see a revert of the Demonform life drain numbers. Having to build solely for life regen on my gear is a pain and id like to actually interact with most other items. |

Literally half of the content added we see here is content from poe 1 but with more steps or back to an old problem-state poe 1 had yet you bring it here.
-Also, you removed weapon swap animation thankfully knowing it was useless, now remove accuracy as its border line useless now. -Sprint is satire, going faster with a MASSIVE downside is so lately typical of how you want to design this game, its cringe-levels at this point. Nothing of power can be gained in this game without a major downside. People will die left and right because of this sprint and will rage and realize again how bad this game feels overall to play like they did day 2 last league. -You put t17 mods in the new map mod system by the way, people are going to have a fit because THEY FEEL LIKE SHIT. Not being able to do damage for even 3 seconds is the dumbest damn thing...again, cringe-levels at this point. Last edited by Fart_Smucker#3238 on Aug 21, 2025, 5:47:27 AM

All looks really good except the waystone changes. So you now run a stack of negatives and get only a fraction of the positives you could roll as prefixes. 6 negatives and you got 35% rarity, 7% quant and low pack size

I'm pretty excited for the patch, despite no new class.
Changing things around in EA is perfectly fine and I'd rather things get finetuned now than making radical changes later on. But at this point I think PoE2 is two games. The campaign and the endgame. The campaign is pretty slow paced, tactical combat with smaller packs. I personally really like that, since most ARPGs just turn to "blow up the whole screen with one skill, run to the next, rinse and repeat". It can be fun at times, but it gets pretty stale fast for me. But when you reach endgame you basically go to the one-click-blow-up gameplay. Not only that, you face insane hordes of monsters that are stupidly fast. There isn't much strategy for me, you just get boots with the highest +Run modifier, run and kite while shooting from the side. Melee builds also generally feel extremely hard to play and unrewarding in endgame because of this. Sounds like a minority opinion but I'd rather the endgame were more like the campaign. Less chaos and one-tap-kill potential on side of player or monsters but controlled groups and more deliberate play. Adjust the drops and XP to make up for it. I still think PoE2 is one of the best ARPGs I've played but it seems like the rift between campaign and endgame gets bigger and bigger, which means you'll lose the people who come for the campaign because endgame turns them off and lose the people who only care about endgame because they need to slog through a slow campaign they don't enjoy. |

really wasnt hyped for more poe2 at all because i just couldnt face doing that campaign again.
its an amazing campaign, and i feel like the better the campaign is as a campaign playthrough the worse it is to rerun. playing a good campaign of this kind is taking time, its listening, exploring, being involved in the story and all those things are completely at odds with what makes good repayable content which is really strong gameplay that is not weighed down by tedious busy work. everything that makes a campaign amazing on a first, slow playthrough becomes busy work on mass repeat. but somehow theres so much hype stuff here that im excited to play the new league, this looks amazing great changes. my partner is even more hyped than me shes going mad over it. all these people upset at these micro balance changes to classes and skills... to me its so whatever man. ive not even played most of the old ones, i expect stuff to change all the time. some skills been a bit nerfed, ok but crafting and trading is megabuffed so ur gear is now better, theres new supports, ur gonna be uysing the best supports on all ur skills etc. i think people should just be looking at the bigger picture stuff and then feeling out how the micro of the systems plays when were in there playing it. if theres issues then we give that feedback and the devs make further changes, its in development its more about the bigger picture right now not the fine details. the big picture looks amazing and if theres issues in some fine details thats an easy fix for next league. game looks amazing, well done guys. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Watching the stream yesterday, hyped. Looking through the patch notes, hyped. Going through forums, hyped, expecting to find hype, finding a bunch of hate instead. God I hate the PoE community. |
