Defenses actually work now hell yeah.

Remove the attack time of rolling slam don't make it longer lol. The attack speed doesn't matter; it's only used to level and needs a rework in a bad way. Maybe I'm overreading but grenades look much worse, and they weren't great to begin with. So many skills I liked look useless now, but I guess we'll see. Not liking Mercenary after reading these changes. Some great changes in other areas though.
Give Monk a new wind attack where he throws his spinning staff out a way knocking everything back and it stays in a spot spinning until you use the skill again and it comes back. Add a support that on return, lets it leave behind a whirlwind that pulls in enemies. Give us a skill that lets Monk's staff fight on its own for a time while the Monk goes hand to hand like the Monkey King. Love the idea of using fists but losing the stats/damage on staff is huge. Hope it works out. |

when they said "evasion was the worst defense" while not mentioning armor, I thought something was fishy. Now I haven't played since release, but we quickly found out armor did literally nothing, and I can't find info that they changed this in any way. I could be wrong but it seems like melee is in an even worse spot now? The patch notes are full of nerfs too, so the big focus of the announcement was false... Almost a year later and no lessons seem to have been learned
On the bright side, I still have time to play other games it seems |

What happened to be allowed to use both controller and mouse/keyboard simultaneously? I don't see any mention of it and the last message that came out months ago was that it's nearly there.

I've enjoyed EA so far, but wasn't nearly as hooked as I was back when I first started playing PoE 1. There were just too many things in EA that bothered me - lots of these seem to have been addressed, first in 0.2.1 and now with 0.3.
I think that this was the first reveal for PoE 2 that felt on par with the "old" PoE 1 reveals. While I would have loved to see a new class (can't wait for Druid) or new weapon types, they have overdelivered in most other respects (no more cruel difficulty, offline trading, skill gem additions/changes, first "real" league for PoE 2...). In recent years, most reveals felt a bit lacking, so I'm truly happy that GGG seem to have found their way back to their overdelivering selves. Kudos to the entire team, this all looks really fantastic! I'm curious to see how all these changes feel in game and hope that there won't be too much blowback on some of the riskier choices (hopefully the gold cost associated with auto-trading will be high enough so that botting won't become an even bigger issue). GGG actually listened to the community. Like how? How do you do that?

"but we also wanted to encourage you to combo your abilities."
I know you did, but it wasn't fun. |
