Your MOST DISAPPOINTED 3 games of all time

This shouldn't be too hard, "blockbuster" games these days are pure shit.

1) Fallout 3: Why would I have thought otherwise? For one, it was designed by Bethesda, who I will forever and always hate for stealing the FO ip from Interplay. For two, it wasn't designed by Interplay.

2) Skyrim: I thought this one might exonerate Bethesda.. but nope. Too much focus on pretty graphics, no real gameplay. As usual.

3) X3 Terran Conflict: Don't get me wrong, it's probably an amazing game! I loved the hell out of X: Beyond the Frontier back in the lost time of 1999. But I just couldn't bring myself to install this one.. I bought it for $60 at Wal-Mart, and went back the next day for something else.. and saw X3 Terran War Pack new on the shelf, and on sale for $20! The next day! I was so pissed..

EDIT: Although I did just buy Galaxy on Fire 2 HD for the iPad, and it's tickling my 4X bone again.. I've been thinking about digging this out, along with MoO and/or GalCiv.

a few others worth noting...
Spore: When I started to realize how much of a corrupt a-hole EA was, and how little respect I had for a company that would sell a product with debilitating DRM.

COD MW 9: They're all the same god damn game! You'd think people would have stopped buying them after the 8th regurgitation.......

Team Fortress 2: It's probably a very fun game, but it just didn't live up to TFC, which I spent endless hours of my youth playing (along with CS pre Source)

Age of Empires 3: See above for explanation; I spent countless hours of my youth playing Rise of Rome and Age of Kings (AoE I and II expansions).

Borderlands: Another example of a great game that only ends up on my list because I felt it didn't live up to its hype. Gameplay just wasn't what I was expecting from all of the previews (I mostly hated how sniping was controlled by skill related hitbox size..)

Fallout 3... This is one of those situations, where you wonder "Why on God's great Earth, did Obsidian not work to purchase the rights to Fallout's IP? They WERE Interplay essentially, this is one of those things that just bugs me. But, I'm going to say that I am glad that Bethesda did such a good job on Fallout 3, because it led to the creation of my favorite game of all time, Fallout : New Vegas.

Skyrim, it was one thing that made one thing evident. It made us aware that Bethesda practically COUNTED on the PC community, when it came to fixing their broken game. Everything from the Civil War quest line in Skyrim to Helgen made you wonder "Why did they not try harder when working on this game?" I'll admit, I loved the game, but it was so disappointing to me.
1.diablo 3
2. call of duty modernwarfare 3
3.DIABLO 3
I've never been disappointed with games I've bought and played in the last 30+ years of being a gamer. However, two games that I bought this year I have been disappointed with:

1. Diablo 3 - Been discussed to death.

2. Torchlight - Everybody seemed to rave about this game and also Torchlight 2. So I decided to buy Torchlight to try out to see what it was like. I found a very basic, cartoony, easy to play dungeon crawler that seemed to be aimed at 8 year olds. Knowing the type of game this is, I won't be buying Torchlight 2.
Spore was good at begining but after some hours it became the same boring game, that i gave up about going into space stage due to being a too repetitive story.

Hellgate was pretty good to me for a year then it became only single player and after 2 years when it came back i've played it very well... But from closed station and further on it became too frustrating as it's always about SH runs and more non-solved lags on game turned it annoying. However it's not a too bad game as it was a pioneer on fps rpg genre.

And the biggest disappointments are:

1) Diablo 3 - we all know...

2) SWTOR - The TORtanic sank taking my $150 CE :(

3) Tera Online - Sucking lead out of paint was more exciting than that horrific grind from hell...

4) I need to add one more. Someone previously mentioned Torchlight. Yes, I too bought it to try after it was hyped -so boring and ugly.

Yes, definately agree. Skyrim was such a disappointment. Especially making it attached to steam like the way they did. I just don't know, seems like games are REALLY going downhill into the crapper these days. I like Morrowind and Oblivion for the pure reason that I could mod the hell out of them and they were then super fun to play. I had plants attacking npcs all over town - fun times to be sure :D

Oh, didn't you know that EA is known as "The Kiss of Death." Everything they touch withers and dies :o That company should go down the crapper permanently. And spore was fun to play in the beginning, then became the same ole, same ole...

Everything but EA Sports games you mean.
my 2 bobs worth..... because 'tomb of the giants' is kicking my ass and i need a break for a min or so...
1. Dragon Age Origins, thanks for nothing bio-hype!
2. Supreme Commander 2, the first one was RTS excellence, the 2nd was console-ated scheisse!
3.M&B with fire and sword, love warband, expected them to take the next M&B up a notch and all i got was a reskin....very disappointed.

oh well there you have it.....

btw- x3 terran conflict is great, a truly under-rated space sim.

i know this is off topic but seeing as how we're 'off topic' any way.... i am dissapointed that HeadHunter Redemption never made it to PC, it would have been a perfect PC game, had a bit of a clunky combat system which would have adapted readily to keyboard and mouse, had a really great sci-fi atmosphere and story line, gritty, believable levels and characters, good problem solving game advancement and a cool ending; overall the game was dark, and had mature vibe that was not so common for a game of it's vintage. A real shame the PC only boys missed out on this one...
