Terrible suggestion that outright dumbs down the game, and no different that any other "im not good at X so please make X easier" request.

Same response as above.

After playing a few weeks on a couple different characters, this seems unnecessary to me. If you intend to use the flask in slot 2, press 2, simple as that...

I agree that it isn't necessary- just the same as it isn't necessary to have quick-switch (in FPS games), macros, self-cast on double-tap, smart-cast, shift-queue, and other such features in different genres of videogames. They simply remove some of the hassle when playing through easy content (think altoholics and RPG vets on lower difficulties in context with PoE) but don't always represent the ideal way of doing something.

Anyway, I'm done regurgitating the same crap over and over as this seems to be turning into an argument with a particularly unreasonable pack of bitches in season. And by that I mean female dogs. Nothing more unreasonable than them.
Good day.
Why don't the seasons fear the reaper?

from what i've noticed, here, anything that improves the way the game is played is dumbing it down. these supposedly hardcore dudes won't be happy until you can only play this game through a call center where you tell mark from omaha what to do with your character.

And how am I supposed to tell which flask just filled? Regardless, that would be a terrible system since both of those effects would be going off constantly, destroying any meaning they might carry, and just being annoying.
Doesn't the current system solve this naturally without needing any bells or whistles? It already gives a clear indication of which flasks are ready to be used.

Glancing to the corner of the screen shouldn't be too much of a task. You also have to do that to see buff timers, the minimap, life, mana, and other things. Requiring players to manage their resources isn't a bad thing.
Staring at the potion UI constantly, however, is annoying and an unnecessary mechanic which is nevertheless required if you use the instant/fast recovery flasks that are necessary for sustaining very high mana costs without Eldritch Battery. I think you're severely underestimating the speed at which flasks can fill and drain in high mana cost builds.

Managing identical flasks adds nothing but tedium and distraction to the game...Memorizing which one of my flasks is full or empty when they can fill and empty in a span of 10 seconds is simply not an option.

Refine your builds to not be reliant on constant flask use.
Absolutely. Effective builds that push the game's UI should obviously be removed. While we're at it, let's remove minions because their UI is insufficient as well.
