Kalguur has stopped me from playing new leagues and private leagues
Yeah the potential burnout was my concern giving it killed my interest before finishing the town.
I don't see it as "passive" as much as I see it as delayed. Settlers to me is the evolution of the incubator in the sense that not only are you doing extra work to access a reward you supposedly already earned, there's a time sink on top of all that. But that's not to say it needs to go completely, I mean they salvaged beastiary and made its core mechanic version much better than it ever was in league. Being able to convert items into a "useful" currency helps soften the blow when finding lesser uniques and wanting to get some value out of them. The recombinator is reminiscent of the original synthesizer (despite functioning a bit differently). I'm just skeptical that the trend of seemingly moving rewards out of other mechanics to feed a newer one doesn't look sustainable. Yep, totally over league play.

I played the main event in july and phercia and both leagues were nasty when it comes to farming good followers (rank 10 farmers, rank 9-10 mappers).
The original league sure, but any reboot of this should have had follower reroll cost reduced by 90 percent. Farming millions of gold is boring af. And it locks you out of content that doesn't really provide gold such as heist, bossing, expedition logbooks, blighted maps etc. You NEED to grind lots of GPH. I hope 3.26 doesn't have any of such bullshit systems and gold will only be used for trading and respecing. Last edited by Esubane#6099 on May 27, 2025, 1:30:41 PM

Been playing the league again, and it's easily my second favorite ever.
One really excellent thing about it is Rog's disenchanting area. It really helps uniques keep their value up - you can melt down the valuable ones with low stats, which helps keep the market prices higher by reducing glut. Fighting deflation is a good thing ultimately. What a great time, and a well thought out league - thanks GGG. Last edited by Sabranic_SilverDeth#2793 on May 30, 2025, 11:18:31 PM
