PvP?? Can we get clarity??? Lost exiles being used for PvP testing?

You can believe whatever you want, look at IQ statistics.

I just did, and weirdly enough, PvP was not mentioned there at all?!

Anyway, I love that you desperately try to sound smart and profound by throwing in "rocket science" and "psychology", while simultaneously displaying a stunning lack of self awareness. It's always fun to see people like you trying to make a point by using these words as if just mentioning them somehow supports an argument. Anyhow, that reply told me everything I needed to know, so have fun convincing yourself of how important PvP is in an ARPG.

Guy that lives on path of exile forums to interject in topics where no one asked for input from them is telling me to get self aware. Neato.

I’m not even trying to insult anyone, that’s just so ironic it has to be said.

I’ve refrained from noting that we got a GGG response but not to my question. Thanks for that btw. I’m just trying to inquire for an entire community of people if we have a future with this game or not. You are being an ego driven player who lives on forums for fun. We are definitely not the same.

It’s always interesting to me the type of player who plays the forums harder than the game.

Typically the same type of narcissist who injects there opinion anywhere it would be unwanted or off topic but then covers it up with “but it’s open discussion”.

You are right, it is open discussion. Between the PvP community that would exist and GGG. Party A and Party B.

Party C the community that wouldn’t partake in PvP doesn’t need to really be involved in such a discussion and their opinions on the topic don’t really carry any weight as they aren’t part of the community involved? Neato

Self awareness unlocked.

Entertaining the idea of adding pvp to the game right now is wild. The game is unfinished, and in need of a lot of resources to even attempt to come close to their target release. Bothering with pvp takes resources away from the real work, and extends the timeline for finishing the game.

Even then, they would have to most likely create a separate sandbox for tuning and balancing, which dedicates an entire portion of their team to keep up with so it doesn't descend into chaos within a month. We don't need pvp. We need a quality finished game.

Not to mention almost every attempt at a pvp ecosystem in arpgs has turned out to be hilariously bad.

There are so many pvp focused games on the market that are better equipped to handle the task, and I just don't understand by everyone insists on it being in every game. More often than not, if a game is made without it being a core aspect, only have it injected post-creation, it tends to be a years-long chore trying to fix it, which always comes at the detriment of the rest of the game.

I like pvp too, but, I don't want every game to have it. Sometimes it's nice when a dev team sticks to what they want a game to be without juggling too much. You may see it as a detriment to the game, whereas I see it as a positive via more focus on the core game..

Woah woah, again, all I did was ask for an entire community of people if there were plans for PvP in this game or not.

Look at how quick they mirror your response. Again, nothing to do with my topic at hand between an entire community of people who clearly aren’t you and GGG.

I just explained it with the A B C reference. How do you not understand?

One big thing about PVP is if it is added it needs to only happen in its own area were skills can be modified while you are in the PVP zone. Otherwise you have the risk I have seen in many games where balancing for PVP can seriously impact the PVE side of the game.

You mean like using a map like mechanic where the maps are prefabbed with player DR and capped DPS?

Team Capture the Whatever on whatever map?

1v1 PvP on small map with monsters that aggro on both parties?

1v1 PvP on small map with empty monsters and just players?

Guild PvP 5v5 teams?

3v3

2v2

All the assets to do it is there.

And all I'm doing is explaining my perspective on why adding PVP into the game anytime soon isn't a great idea. Not sh|tt|ng on you; this is how public forum works. If GGG manages to fully flesh out the game in a great way, then sure, go ahead and take on the PVP challenge as well. I'm all for it, but it's a massive undertaking in a game that isn't anywhere near release quality yet. GGG needs to focus on the core game.

Neato what aspect of the game isn’t release quality? The end game? Woah and PvP is the end game woah. No way. Math 1+1 =2 woah.,.

The more tools you give players to manage PvP the better off it is. If players could make tournaments and actually have working match making interfaces where they can create ban and restricted lists whole new element to the game. An element that is by definition end game. Which is where the game currently falls short? Woah…

It’s almost as if, common + sense =

Again, you are correct on your point. The game isn’t finished. I get that. No one’s asking for PvP right now. What we are asking is if it’s gonna be something they are working on at all.

I'm down for a completely unbalanced PvP implementation, just let us bash each other in the head. The community will develop its own rules like the D2 one did.
