PvP?? Can we get clarity??? Lost exiles being used for PvP testing?
" Omg look, someone who gets it.
" That’s a wild claim. Most of the game pretty well polished beyond some nerfs to over performing builds and a bunch of bugs. But that’s to be expected. It’s beta. And they are fixing things at an astonishing rate. More importantly the way they are implementing fixes very ethical to the players. Which in todays gaming world is actually not industry standard. Ironic I know. Last edited by Lore#3772 on Apr 29, 2025, 9:03:28 PM

Wasn’t there a low level pvp bracket back in poe1?
Could bring that here, and it’ll be easier to balance without too much worry about powercreep. |

" Yeah they could have level brackets and introduce an NPC that freezes XP like an on off switch below exp loss levels. Other games have done that to create Smurf PvP brackets. Smurfing community is one of the most fun parts of PvP People look at a low level item as shit sell for 2 exalts BIS for Smurf. Everyone wins. It’s almost as if PvP creates an economical demand on items that people think are worthless rn and give those items meaning and therefore the game more meaning. But what do I know. The key to implementing PvP correctly is to never balance based on PvP unless that balance won’t really effect any PvE end game builds. Never make the mistake of balancing PvP and forgetting it will have an impact on PvE. Other than that PvP can be as imbalanced as they allow /want it to be. It’ll still have a following of dedicated players My question still stands, can we expect PvP or na? Last edited by Lore#3772 on Apr 29, 2025, 9:09:11 PM

" Most of the game *that we have access to*. We're still missing half of the campaign and almost half of the classes. So we have a "pretty well polished" ~55% of the game. And that's assuming the current endgame will stick, which GGG themselves said was initially just a rushed placeholder to keep people at bay once they finished the first half of the campaign. I applaud them for the work they've done so far, no joke. But understand that we're almost halfway to their prospective release date, and all they've added beyond the initial beta release is one class, one weapon set, one undercooked league mechanic, a few rehashed features from PoE1, and some other odds and ends. The rest has been just trying to get everything we currently have straightened out (again, I think they've been kicking @ss with most of that). To say the game is anywhere near release-ready is just a lie. No doubt the release date will most likely get pushed, and siphoning a portion of their dev team to focus on PVP is probably not where their head is at. " LOL. You have it backwards friend. They held back at least 3 classes and 3 weapons they have fully fleshed out before Beta. Some of the unreleased stuff has already been fully designed and is ready to go. That’s why some players have dropped flails, daggers, Swords in game already. Those assets already exist with roll tables and everything. They are being gated to give us new content while they fix everything else up. You are acting like a majority of the work they have to do is designing the classes and ascendancies that are unreleased alongside the unreleased weapons. Big news, they already finished all classes and ascendancies and weapons. It’s just fixing bugs and finishing balance now. At launch they don’t want to have ANY super over performing builds. I hope you enjoyed the over performing build you got to play with during beta. It was a gift. By having no over performers it allows real diversity and real challenge as intended. Speak to me when you can see the vision Last edited by Lore#3772 on Apr 29, 2025, 9:15:10 PM

I wouldn't be quick to take that at face-value. "Finished and ready to go" comes with a metric ton of ambiguity.

I'm all for it! Can we get the base game to work first, though?

" Cue bugs bunny “no” gif
" Would be real nice have a functional and performance tuned game. But, why spend human resource on fix the base game when there is a high upmost priority that 5% will dab and forget after the first week? |
