Loot is not the issue
- It's not that simple - Itemisation is an issue. Dropping another 20 items with +5 to dmg will change nothing. POE 2 lacking interesting afixes/prefixes and item bases. It's just null. We should get entire rework of afixes - with: - Class, skill - specific afixes. Making loot better - with more loot and more afixes it will be harder to "get what we want" while making "less" usable loot more valuable. Like... Skill + class specific afix - making 2H hammer 50% more area of effect, adding +1-3 projectile for molten strike or converting it's entire dmg to cold. As a rare and not unique item. While last epoch.. has 680 meaningful afixes - poe always have only 3-4 valuable ones. That EVERYONE just seek with 2-3 variants of it. And build around. More loot in that sitation just will make game for players to quit earlier and not making it more interesting. Itemisation is tottal null. |

All items to perform an itemisation are considered loot, no?
For sure and by far not the only problem the game has. But keeping more fun away from the player to make up for another poor design? |

For me this game has a problem motivating me. Day 2 i start to get that feeling i get 2-3 months into a poe1 league where i just have no desire to continue. I don't think its loot related as much for me as the mace vision is stupid.

Out of all the accounts playing POE2, how many do you think are playing monster 30 to 40 div characters over 96th level.
Id warrant to guess many fizzle before the mid 80s. I had 3 guys in the 90s in .1 but lost the desire to play in .2 I havent really seen anyone thinking the loot before easily clearing juiced T15+ maps is good. Its only the ultra end gamers that know how to exploit everything outside currency drops that will say loot is fine. Of course is loot the issue. Maybe for strong builds it's ok but for the most skills it isn't.
