Loot is actually great. GGG knows what they are doing.
" Disagree . Poe2's major issue is that it wants to be poe1 and dark souls at the same time. " Arbitrary ? Players just want their time respected. Loot is a major source of dopamine in a game like this I dont know what kind of argps you have played to be talking so confidently about the genre , but so far the ones i have experienced were all centered around loot . Its kind of a fundamental thing you know .. |

Delusional post. Loot is not fine. 120g from rare mobs is not fine. 3 socketed magic items from a rare strongbox is not fine. Especially when considering how harsh punishment. The risk/reward is waaaaaaaaaay off.

" Just confirmed that you severly lack understanding of the game or the economy |

Qualiity of loot in this game is not given. Not a bit. No fun picking up items. Not even uniques. Just the 5 meta items my lootfilter makes it tink.
Need 10 div to have a somewhat acceptable outcome, slamming an item. Can buy the same for 5 on trade. Devalues all the ground loot even more. Currency is actually currency. There is no crafting allowed until you are rich and spend mindlessly. It doesnt even make sense. I lootet 3 div all the way to lv91. Last edited by kosmo_blacksmith#5449 on Apr 27, 2025, 10:43:14 AM

" +1 PoE 2 want to be a soulslike+roguelike and end up being a nothing burguer without loot... the core identity of any ARPG - LOOT. PoE 2 has sooo much crap loot, no means to crafting and focused on trade... While they don't move focus from trade to loot/crafting this game will remain garbo. |

" And I would argue that we shouldn't be showered in it because it's so fundamental and it would lose its quality. The implication that developers aren't respecting the time of its audience because of a more restricted loot based system is a false dilemma. The dopamine you get from playing a game shouldn't come from the loot drops exclusively, otherwise why not just click a button, roll the digital bones and just get rid of everything else? And this major issue being it wants to be PoE1 and Dark Souls at the same time I feel you are reading into the development of the game. Last edited by Bilbologna#3059 on Apr 27, 2025, 10:41:01 AM

Everything was fine in 0.1 . Loot was raining left and right . We had drops from bosses.
I made at least 15 raw divs every day just with mapping . Had 720 hours in 0.1 . Didn't lose any "quality" bruh ... what are you blabbering about ? I knew that if i farmed for a few hours and sold 1-2 items i could buy my upgrade for 85 divs . Now i dont even bother logging in . Trade is dead , drops are dead. By retaining drops being afraid they would lose players if they "showered" them with loot , they are losing players . Pretty funny can't you see ? " Every game loses players. It's a forgone conclusion. The mistake would be developing with the intent to placate said players in lieu of creating a balanced game with its own identity. It's just the paradox of abundance, that the more of something you have the more quality it loses. Congrats on your success but your anecdote doesn't refute the reality that too much loot can neuter a market and drive prices up too. |

The eco was totally broken with 0.1.0. You just happened to be in a good inflation bracket. Thats why you made good money last season with mapping.

" Lmao That is exactly what is happening Inflation bracket has nothing to do with raw divines dropping . And what is an economy if the only ones taking part in it are RMTers and 1exalt andies ? Last edited by fityfirity#3100 on Apr 27, 2025, 11:01:15 AM
