Loot is actually great. GGG knows what they are doing.
I agree. The scarcity of loot makes every exalt drop feel super exciting. People don’t realize if there’s exalts dropping every two seconds and you’re slamming every piece of gear you pick up, then the game gets boring way too fast and trivializes everything. I think drops are fine. Divines might be a little too low but I’m not worried about it. There’s other ways to make currency in this game other than raw drops from mapping. Use your brains

" False . I have 493 exalts on my ring , played 300 hours this league on a level 97 character , done nearly 900 red maps juiced . Prove your statement with media footage . " Of course i do , that is the only crafting in the game . " Like cRaFtInG ? Last edited by fityfirity#3100 on Apr 27, 2025, 10:02:08 AM

Loot IS scarce for what it needs to do….
As far as items dropping, The average piece should drop as side grades (not upgrade not downgrade) with a few drops that are down grades and a fewer amount of potentially upgrades. This is not how it is. In campaign it felt as though upgrades came every 20+ levels. You really started struggling and eventually had to go to the trade system to be able to progress. As far as currency drops, You should be able to consistently acquire currency to replace what you are spending. People not at end game won’t experience this, but on average the ‘juice’ should always be ‘worth the squeeze’ over time. This is not how the early end game feels at all. You invest minimum currency in your maps and often lose out on the deal. You shouldn’t have to do 50 maps before you see a 5 ex profit. Furthermore, you shouldn’t have to farm 500 lesser essence to have a 1% chance to upgrade a piece of gear. |

It doesn’t make any sense why they changed it in the first place. They finally got it dialed in to a good place in .1 - not sure what their motive was.

Yea I hope GGG looks past all the people screaming about it. POE2 has its own identity and isn't supposed to adhere to this arbitrary expectation that an abundance of loot is the appeal to the genre, that loot exclusively is the dopamine hit. Speaking for myself, I get dopamine hits from loot because of their rarity.
Regarding early game currency drops, they've definitely felt few and far but the lack of them hasn't been a detriment to my progress so for the moment anyway I'm ok with the rates not changing on that as well. |

Before patch 0.2.0 smart broken build players played in best saloons and beated everything that moved or not in a map. That brought tons of extremely rare items in market in where every common player could had the opportunity to buy it with real or not money.
After patch every rare item trade was wanished and this is clear understood by the s..ty items that are now provided as RARE tradeable. So in conclusion in every strong patch that changes over than 50% of gameplay should need a rebalance to everything including item drops. Its not acceptable beating a boss in TIER16 corrupted map to take as drops 2x T15 maps and 2x common currencies and maybe one useless gear or weapon item. We talking about maps that are T16 and over wich in current state don't give anything rare. Furthermore playing with a full team, (5 players) a rare drop corresponding to 0,2 rare item/ per player. So be careful what you've wish about drops becouse now real rare items in market made extremely expensive and fewer off all times. |

" No. Being saturated with loot, the majority of which probability speaking you otherwise wouldn't use, will cause drops to lose their mythic quality. The current drop rate honestly feels a little bit too high and should be more proportional to the pacing and inventory size. Last edited by Bilbologna#3059 on Apr 27, 2025, 10:31:19 AM

Also, good items are less than 5 exalts. Very good items are maybe 10-20 div. The people that want more loot don't realize that all item prices will inflate if that happens. Exalts are still currently 130 3 weeks into the league.
What would you spend all your loot on anyways? Chase items are expensive for a reason. The cost of getting to t15 maps is less than a div. |
