You don't know what makes Dark Souls fun

This idea that "hard game is fun cuz it's hard" is evidence you've not put any real time or effort into those games to understand the appeal, and the design ethos of PoE2 is a failing one. Difficulty in those games comes from the split second consequences, the need to be aware of your surroundings, and the fact that combat is over in only 2-3 hits for either side. It's about stamina management, spacing, and finding your openings.

Now tell me where any of that is in PoE2. Huge packs of monsters that mindlessly sprint at you, where you die in one hit from an impossible to see effect on the ground while you spend 30 seconds hitting the same thing over and over trying to hack through it's health bar. It's boring, monotonous, and draining. There's no fun to be found in tedium.

My suggestion is this: Choose one. Either give players back the power fantasy that made PoE successful in the first place, you know, the only reason you're even capable of making a sequel, or actually buckle down, tighten up, lock in, and provide a balanced, methodical, moment to moment combat system that forces players to pay attention. And that second one? That means gutting this entire game. Random rolls and percent Stat bonuses don't work in a game meant to have tight combat.

Either give us back the game that made you successful to begin with, or stop screwing around and make an actual Souls like. This ain't either. It fails at being both.

Have you considered the possibility that it's not trying to be either of those things?

Can you please point me where Jonathan or other lead devs said that they want to make souls like as poe2?

I was born blind in my left eye and have limited vision in my right eye and I don't have an issue with "impossible to see effects". That is a skill issue on your part. You say the game isn't difficult for you, but you are clearly not able to deal with a mechanic that a girl that is practically blind can deal with...the bar for dealing with that is pretty damn low if I can deal with it.

And you can see my high level characters on the HC SSF DotH leader boards that are dead because I made mistakes and I know how I could have avoided each one of those deaths. The character I'm working that I started after I screwed up and died last night is in the 50's now and will soon be another character that is alive on that list.

Seriously, people need to start taking responsibility for their own failures and learn from them instead of always blaming something else. If I can do it with my limitations, no else gets to complain about the game "holding them back"...unless you have no arms, which could be a thing also because I have a friend who was born with no arms. She used to stream LoL and she got to platinum without arms, while people in lower ranks were complaining that they were being held back by elo hell.

It may not be directly stated but its very obvious the games combat system has taken alot of aspects from darksouls or souls like games, the slower more grounded style, the dodge roll, the bosses with deadly attacks outside of the fact darksouls never has restricted your respawn attempts this games heavier combat is very similar and can be compared.

Thank you for sharing. You happen to be right and there’s just not a lot of responsibility around these parts. Much easier when you can just deflect your issues on an open dev feedback forum.
This game is No Rest For The Wicked wannabe.

That game works because its made to be that way from the get go.

PoE2 doesn't have identity because it doesn't know what it wants to be.Its not arpg and its not souls like.

It cant be souls like anyway , with 2 screen of mobs instantly jumping on you , regardless of how far they were when you engaged them.

PoE2 game promised to be newbie friendly ''played in your own way, where any build , any passive tree investment can get you to the endgame''
