Lets be real, game asked for bad reviews.

What "content"??? It hasn't had a league since settlers lmao

If PoE 1 was still getting a league every 3 months I wouldn't care about this joke of a """game""" called PoE 2.

Why does PoE 1 need more content?

Because its a live service game. Why else lol

Don't you think PoE has enough content? I think more content doesn't necessarily make the game better.

Maybe PoE 2 was the right step there.

Both PoE1, PoE2 and modern ARPGs are league based live service games. The new content is the only reason people continue to play them for years.

If the goal is an immersive and challenging story mode, then it would never be a free to play game as there is limited replay value in that model. Although there have been games that buck that trend, and maybe that is what GGG wants.

However, if they intend to sustain the game through OPTIONAL micro transactions and supporter packs then there will be inevitable content creep.

Yeah but it seems to me PoE 1 has enough content for anybody to waste thousands of hours into. Right?

there's always PoE1

That is some serious copium there. PoE1 for all intents and purposes no longer exists. Game servers are still up sure, but the content is stagnant and has been all used up. PoE2 is a succesor to PoE1 in name only. I would even argue that the PoE2 environment is not even recognizable as Wraeclast. No vibe or soul in the campaign areas and maps of PoE2, just more punishment.

No, it does not. It is literally pointless to play when it has no new content.

Who plays standard?? Nobody.

No there isn't. That's the problem. Either they start making new leagues every 3 months again, or people will continue to be angry because PoE 2 is some wannabe elden ring slop game.

I don't understand this logic. Why is it pointless to play the game when it has no new content?

No? Have you played PoE1? Resets are the life blood of the game. Most people bomb out for a week or three and then the game dies out until the next patch. That cycle is extremely common in gaming in general and isn't limited to just PoE1. PoE2 shows the same cycle and I am willing to bet it will for the duration of its life as well.

If the goal is to extend that cycle they would need to have significantly better additions each patch then what 0.2 brought.

Again, maybe I am wrong, but it (PoE2) would be the extremely rare exception.

Except that happens with literally every live service game, old or not. But yes, PoE1 is old, which is why that community wanted PoE2 to replace it.

Let's hope they will make this game great then.

Well so far it's only been downhill. Unless big changes happen nothing good will come of this mess.
