We already discussed this and nobody has shown any proof that 0.2 is responsible for the player decline, albeit many people here claiming it's their reason to leave.
That many ppl claim that they left because of 0.2 is pretty good evidence.
Shifting it always to the "proof" narrative doesn't make any sense because no side can actually prove one or another.

About hexblast: it was nerfed, because it was too strong. You could only use hexblast and clear maps with it and not have to use anything else. I don't know if you really want to play a game like that, but it seems to me you want to exclude all "skill" in this game, so you just have to press one button and win. There are many people who don't like that "vision" of yours. We like the vision of the devs better.
There is no "skill" in pushing 2 or 3 buttons instead of one, it's just flask piano with extra steps.
And yes, ppl want to play 1-button builds... you know... in a genre where ppl even create "auto-bomber" builds.
So often I read this "PoE2 is now a harder game" or "PoE2 requires more skill".
For whom? Casuals? Designing a live-service ARPG around casuals is nonsensical.

But then that should be the core of the complaint,
You misunderstand. There are so many complaints. Even in patch 0.0.1 there were tons of issues and complaints. However, it was more fun and we were able to ignore them.
Now in 0.2.0 that frustration with a large majority of the systems combined with the added tedium and damage and build nerfs pushed the community over the edge. Instead of enjoying the fun parts the negative parts of the game are at the forefront of our minds now.
Because. It's. Not. Fun.
I see. That makes sense. To clarify, I'm not particularly enjoying the game myself. Although my reason for that is somewhat different - I'm in the group that basically wanted PoE 2 to just be PoE 1 with better graphics. (I should probably brace for getting pelted with eggs now. XD)

Music still playing on top floors ?
have no idea why you deleted my previous post.
This is a SERIOUS issue. How can you accurately reflect the number of people playing the game, and thus the number of people willing to actually buy MTX to fund your SALARY, unless you get rid of the RMT bots.
Here is proof that the bots exist, the player numbers are padded, and GGG needs to do something about it so Jonathan can see certain decision are going to KILL YOUR GANE.

It's not evidence for anything other than that people got together and complained. Doesn't mean the quality of 0.2 was bad. Just means there's a lot of people complaining who seem to make a collaborative effort to do so.

Listen, you throw words like proof, scientific and evidence around you, so you should actually understand what these words mean.
As well as you can support with evidence that "people got together and complained", it can be used for "patch 0.2 is at fault", too, while proving nothing because evidence is not proof.

Sure you can claim 0.2 is at fault for your dissatisfaction, but I'll point out flawed logic when I see arguments like the majority of the playerbase dislikes 0.2 or that 0.2 is responsible for the player decline.

So you are literally denying reality. Steam reviews after 0.2 are 60%+ negative.
So MAJORITY of people who PLAY THE GAME in 0.2 say its shit. Majority is 51% btw. So 60%+ is ABSOLUTE majority.
From 80%+ Positive in 0.1 where only 1/5 of players left negative feedback to 35%+ positive in 0.2 where whole 3/5 of players left negative feedback.
Also, make sure you select the feedback that shows 10h+ playtime when looking at Steam reviews. 10h+ would mean that those folk got trough act1 at least.
That stands at MIXED.
Steam reviews are as legit as ANY OTHER POLL that anyone has done because not everyone answers. Only those who care enough answer. The same way as any other poll that people receive in mail or online or are asked on the street. Most ignore the polls. Only certain amount care enough to engage with them. Same goes for Steam.

You know, I can't mention the example and be specific, because of code of conduct, but there were instances in history, very famous ones, where people saw something happen and blamed it onto the wrong cause. It's a common political tool, actually. Just mentioning it, because it seems to fit right in here.
