I didnt watch it.

But as always, I think it is brave and although hard is admirable that leads come out to interface with community reps.

I have many issues with the game at present.
But regardless i respect that they showed up and answered questions.

I probably will not watch it but wanted to say.
Im an ass at times in here. But i respect their availability to the community.

Streamers don’t control Reddit or Steam numbers? No kidding. The issue is how fast they poison the well. A couple of big names cry “unfun,” and suddenly everyone’s parroting the same lazy takes before they’ve even scratched the surface.

And the “no build videos” defense? That’s not a win — it just shows how little actual effort went into exploring the game. Most of them sat on their hands waiting for someone else to solve it, then blamed the devs when nothing clicked.

This isn’t about tinfoil hats. It’s about calling out the people who set fire to the community and then act like they’re just watching it burn from a distance.

I would agree if that would be a frequent thing. However I never saw some of the streamer complaining at all before. And big part of the "let them cook" mentality was established by them.
Tbh I don't know for whom that patch was designed. It is way too hard for the random audience, way too slow for the poe1 fanbase and without any replay value for the soulslike community. I don't want any streamer to defend 15 minutes T1 maps of "meaningful combat" if they actually hate it as I do. And of course you are free to like the actual patch if you actually do so.

Content creators are the real issue here. Their goal is to trivialize all content as quickly as possible and when that doesn’t happen or they’re confronted with actual challenge - they lose their mind and throw a fit in the name of “fun”.

Jungroan is an optimizer, and he has been an optimist throughout. Mathil's build got gutted, and he didn't complain, he just rerolled and continued having fun.

There are streamers who are good at the game and don't complain much. It's not fair to lump them all in the same category.

Ruetoo, Steelmage, DSLily, Zizarian. These are the streamers you are talking about. They have been non-stop complaining and shilling to their doomer viewers. They deserve to be called out on it. It is also the fault of the viewers, all they can talk about is PoE drama because they have no imagination.

GGG adopted every single change Jungroan asked for from the start of campaign thru endgame. This is a game made specifically for Jungroan. His feedback is valid but his skill level is 10x higher than most streamers, let alone casual 45-year-olds who have 7 jobs. The game was a slog when beta started and it is still a slog.

Despite what was said today I think there is a binary split in the community that can't be fixed. High player numbers indicate that the majority of the community (sadly) wants PoE 2 to be ruthless everywhere. I don't want ruthless at all and most streamers and many PoE 1 players don't want to spend time playing a game like that either.

If you're interested at all in hearing about some of the more "important" parts of the interview, Raxx has a breakdown and he's usually pretty good about being fair in these regards.
did u see chat? 40k people were all agree with him and the questions came from us

Ziz is like thinking his definition of "fun" is everything and everyone are like him. Pushing his view that is against the core of gameplay of poe 2 and thinking he's everything. Wanting changes that are deflect the entire core of poe 2 while devs make very constructive, reasonable answers - he still pushing his point of view. Wanting it to be copy of poe 1 at all.

While campain should be harder and not easier - it shows how streamers just want to make money as side effect.

All what he want is over-stimulation and having work to be easier to make easier to end-game and building content to earn money.

No, he's not. However his definition of fun is certainly more popular than the direction that drove this current patch. Very few people want Poe2 to be "poe1 ruthless" which is what has more or less been the case. MOST people want poe2 to be Poe1+, which is pretty much what we were sold. we understood that it would be a less mature game than poe1, and they would reign some stuff in, but the idea that this struggle simulator was what we were sold is laughable. So to all the people who tell us "go play poe1" I say to you "Go play poe1 ruthless."

You’re right. I over generalized it and there are a good amount of creators who are amazing at the game and can be critical without turning every challenge into a crisis.
