The core of Path of Exile 2 is not the campaign

I dont play games to rush to the end game and grind. Sorry.

I enjoy the entire game. I legit have largely only played PoE1 in its campaign. The end-game is entirely off-putting to me in multiple ways. Mostly because the rest of the game is neglected for it, and the entire game revolves around it, and the economy..

I enjoy the entire game as well but I spend most of my time in the end game. If we are supposed to play campaign over and over again should it be a frustrating experience?

Nope. It should be a good one. The reason it's in such a poor state is because they spent so much time making the end-game for players.

Just like I said, Neglected. You look at steam achievements and you can clearly see that most players don't care about the end-game, since most stop playing in the acts in PoE 1. 90% drop off by the time people start mapping.

WoW ran into this same issue after a few expansions. The leveling, adventuring, exploring, and community aspect of the game got washed out for emphasis on harder and harder raids, and the game lost most of it's playerbase over the course of a few years and only retained the hardcore players that liked to skip to end-game.

Neglected.

I think the game in in trouble..

But you are wrong.
The campaign is the tutorial in PoE1

I don't upgrade anything, i don't spend a cent and the only thing im paying
attention to is my capacity to maintain max resists so i hit end with equipment i can start maps with . Im not doing any side content at all none not a single one, its a troll and never worth it until your character just evaporates the league mechanic. Im the average PoE player.

OP - several "flaws" in your post:
1. You make an assumption that you know what the target audience of PoE2 is (i.e. GGG's goals of their vision of the future)
2. You are imposing your "wants" as if it's a Fact (perhaps a 1B?)
3. You are speaking as if you are some representation of "the people" (you are not)
4. You seem to be heavily biased as a PoE1 enjoyer (my guess [that's fine of course, but again, 0.2 is showing differences now {seems to be attempting to Balance more "SSF-like" than Trade/Standard - w/ a slower/more methodical combat pace, etc}])
5. Your point about Kripp's latest PoE2 review on YT. I saw it. In short, it's a heavily nuanced topic and it's still EA 0.2. There's no qualm about the Campaign still needing some work (Balancing, etc [we are all in agreement w/ that]).

One thing I do agree you mentioned:
1. More "Balancing" needed for a more enjoyable Campaign experience (we all know that, and we all know that will take time -- it was the same case for 0.1 really)

Here are points that you should consider (and seem to ignore) - that are more based on Facts rather than Opinion (still up for debate of course..):
1. They (GGG) started this PoE2 like back in... 2019? The Campaign was a massive undertaking for them and is a huge piece of what actually Differentiates itself from PoE1. You remove that and all that Effort would diminish more. The Campaign should be a set-piece for their Release
2. PoE2 "end-game" must differentiate itself from PoE1 (or it will suffer the same fate as PoE1 [SteamCharts, etc])
3. 0.1 "end-game" was almost non-existent and was "tacked-on" from PoE1 essentially (hence, all the negative reviews post-0.1 on the end-game) -- so point here is that it's still too early to tell the vision here
4. 0.2 "end-game" seems to have more additions, and some streamers are there and casuals most likely not -- but point here is that more feedback will arrive on this in time and again, GGG will re-assess accordingly for 0.3+
--
More points from another Thread (copy/paste here):
He (OP) thinks Mapping will bring in more "longevity" to the game (for Money).

And..we all know what 0.1 brought for "end-game" (mapping) -- So, no need to rush on that "prediction" anyways (it still can be zoom-zoom, technically in end-game...or less...or...like Campaign..or...anyways..you get the idea).
(And no, "zoom-zoom-1-shot" has No Future)
--
In the end however, none of us can read GGG's mind. Time will tell further their direction and goal -- obviously

As I said above (and in previous Threads of Campaign stuff), no one can predict exactly what it will be and the "true" vision -- but again, one thing's for sure -- if it becomes just a PoE1 Clone, it has No Future.

Yeah? How many hours you got?
People like you wont pay the game, period, people who play for the campaign will not come back every 3 months to replay it and especially will not play hundreds of hours per league so you are not the target audience for this game, the game literaly needs people who grind and stay quite some time withing the game so they feel compelled into buying packs and swag/tabs from the shop, people who play the campaign dont need tabs and will not spend money on new swag to play the campaign and quit, this is not the game for you.

So. They want whales that play the game religiously every 3 months without question?

Interesting.

To quote you earlier today: "Yes. The rest of your points are emotional. Take a break from the forums if a game being in an unfinished state is this upsetting to you.

Just being real. No hate. Take a break."

Like I was trying to explain to that other guy, there is merit inside angry, emotional, feedback. That is what GGG expects from Early Access pay-to-test players, however, comments like yours truly are distractions and irrelevant to the Feedback Forum, as you are simply rage-baiting already emotional players, which isn't feedback towards the game... You were actually giving real feedback over 6 hours ago, now you're just being a $@#%.

Actually, yes, totally yes, that's the best case scenario, it's a live service game, it literally survives on that, people were buying 10k dollars supporter packs back then, are people who play for the campaign and quit gonna do that?

Angry, over a video game = addict behavior.

We need to stop enabling addicts. Vulnerable people. Need help.

Thanks for the comment.
