Getting One Shot With Max Resistances is not an ARPG Game
when i post on things it can be serious and yet comedic without insulting the workers, they know they are and was going to be problems thus the early release i believe they will work on them thus the video concerning poe 1 so lets give feed back maybe make it a bit comedic but serious and not insult people or those that as of right now i believe are not only wanting this game to become what they hoped but are trying to reach their goals so lets not insult people and be so toxic

as far as the hardcore vs regular, people in hardcore will hit a certain mechanic that will surely kill them and for most of the time it's an unavoidable mechanic just because it doesn't happen to everyone all the time it doesn't mean the problem is not there. yes, some people have learned to be quite careful, but it may require a lot of patience and constant watching and complete focus and take very slow time as to give enough space to try and avoid the problematic mech. I dot get 1 shot by every boss or mech its only certain ones like the super-fast moving fire orbs that shoot out of a group and only allows for like maybe 2 sec before it explodes and the reaction time of what seems like a lot of people that don't have superhuman reflexes may complain about and wasn't aware it was going to occur so quickly would like to see a little different change in stuff like this, or if ya play with a controller at times it seems to want to disconnect and reconnect sometimes maybe 1 to 3 times real fast then be ok, also what a lot of people were not expecting at certain times and it can throw off ones concentration. or if I'm playing my minion build and at the most inopportune time my minions don't want to come with me and just stand back like they are being blocked and then it's just me and the mobs. so, 1 problem that seems so trivial combined with several little ones with it, well wouldn't it be simpler to fix the little probs and not let them compound? even by allowing more than 1 death would help tremendously. there is a reason a lot of people don't want to play hardcore, in my younger days I had the patience to set and stare and focus solely on a game and block things out, not so much anymore I still got some play in me but not to the level of worrying about fighting a bad mech and the movement of mobs and aoe and ranged attacks and do it all while I'm balancing on 1 foot playing with 1 hand behind my back and still be the best in the game, we all can't be pros all the time, so those of us that are below the big elite players may want or need a little more help like more than 1 death, after all this is not partial hardcore its standard play. right????????

" LOL, stop spreading disinformation, hardcore level 90+ also dies on one shot. Its all over youtube, be real. |

" You completely missed the point..... He said they die....once. As in, that was the FIRST AND ONLY time they would have gotten one-shot. That unlucky moment. We all get unlucky 1 out of a few hundred thousand times. Meanwhile the other 99.99% of the game.....they do NOT get one shot. Getting uncontrollable one-shotted is an exceptionally rare occurrence. If it is happening to you frequently, it is a build issue or a playstyle/skill issue. It is misinformation to say "one shots are everywhere" or even that they are common. I wouldn't go so far as to call it disinformation (blatant lying)....it just points out a lack of experience on the player side who decries it. Watch a high level hardcore player take on a juiced map or a boss. Does it look ANYTHING like the way you play? I can almost guarantee it doesn't. Because they have forced themselves to learn the game in the hardest way possible, and have risen to the challenge. Because that's all it is: a challenge. It's not a "broken" mechanic or anything of the sort. Nor do they sit there avoiding all encounters and playing ilvl 68 areas until the high 90s. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Feb 7, 2025, 6:02:57 PM

" I completely agree. What made Diablo II so great is that you could tell how much life you need to survive ANY hits. Even on my favorite melee Amazon build, I could play Hardcore to level 94 with "just" 1100 life because I knew there is nothing in the game that can one short EXCEPT for the vodoo dolls with the bugged fire damage aura. I felt rewarded for the time I spent learning the game. On PoE2 I am just routinely put down by the game. I have two level 88 Warriors doing endgame maps. Both require a shield with almost capped block (65-75^%), of course capped resists, still get smacked half of my HP pool by random shitty normal mobs because "oh but it is telegraphed". How about balance and rhythm in a game? Should you be constantly on the lookout for "telegraphed" attacks from stupid white mobs? How is that fun? How about better highlighting the rare mobs for a start, and vastly reducing the damage range on white mobs? besides some mechanics are just plain BS. Volatile plants are well visible, for example, but they can also sometimes spawn right on TOP of you while you are locked in an animation, killing you in less than half a sec before you have the time to do anything. Not to mention how ****ing annoying it is to have to do circles forever while these stupid plants keep respawning, and be on the lookout for obstacles all the time. Typical death you strafe around, get stuck on a boulder or something and plant explodes in your face. A lot of the frustrating combat in this game is a combination of overtuned damage, monsters that are on crack like there is a bug in the game and everything runs at 200% speed for some reason, rares that have far too many mods on them good luck reading them while you are trying to aviid *****ING volatiles. Or rares that have no specific aura so you cant tell there is a mob thats gonna hit twice as much as the other ones that look exactly the same. |

you need to reforge bad waystones, run only ones that fit your build.

Im lvl 96 str/int titan, max res, enough to take on ele pen, max block, 2.5k HP, 8.7 ES, good damage and sometimes I'm still getting deleted from 100 to 0 in 0.2 seconds or get perma stun locked and slowly killed.
I had to add a megalo jewel and invest about 8 skill points + gear for stun threshold in order to have a decent chance on +200% stun threshold maps. I can delete juiced maps for hours and then just explode for what seems like no reason at all. Maybe if I used grim feast it would no longer happen, but for real, some times it seems like the game says "ok, you have been alive for too long now, time to die" and it just deletes me. And the loot my god. No mf, 200 mf, full mf on tower/keys or none at all. Barely matters except for the same useless uniques and a couple of ex/chaos. I play a LOT. Many hours, every day and I havent seen a single divine drop in about 100 hours of grinding. I was able to "finish" my build only due to trading and selling citadel fragments instead of fighting the arbiter. And lets not even talk about the audience with the king. The game is so frustrating. I invest a lot of time because it got me addicted, but in a sort of toxic way and to be honest, Im starting to hate it. The worst part is that GGG decided to do league releases, like this is a complete game instead of EA, because people with OP builds would get mad if things change. I will never be able to see all the mace and warrior skills on this character, including several passives that just dont work, and I absolutly hate it, because there is no way I will make another warrior after reset, that is, if I even decide to keep playing at all. PD: setting up maps in the atlas with towers before doing them absolutly sucks and gets boring fast. |

I agree with this 100% ^
I made the unfortunate mistake of rolling a warrior for my first character and was immediately left in the dust. Not doing that again Last edited by TSDfabrication#7766 on Feb 8, 2025, 12:06:08 PM
