I'm worried GGG took our money and ran
I trust with a decade and a half of experience at this, that their general silence between big patches will mean the same it always has - that things are being worked on and once something of real significance is ready, we'll get the announcement of the announcement, then the announcement, then the thing, then the 78 fixes for the thing, then 6 weeks of silence.

Funny post. People taking it seriously? Anyway Tencent won't allow GGG to slack off, Chinese bot farms and RTM sites need PoE2 to thrive.

I'm pretty anti-GGG for my own reasons lately but never would i believe they would just run off with the money.
The only thing in history that they did do of major consequence that could even really be considered that would be separating PoE1 from PoE2 and even then the community in general seems to accept that as a reality and not a problem. GGG will get things rolling, Have faith. Innocence forgives you

I am no bot, I did no RMT and I don't break any game mechanic.
My guild does not too. Same with my 6 friends on Steam who play the game. I don't know exactly what your problem is. They are working the whole day preparing patches and updates. There hasn't been a month vacation for the team they were on holiday vacation for about 2,5 weeks . Please stop posting bshit and go back playing different games. |

" Funny how you suspect me of being dependent on believing in any kind of authority and that I shill for corporations based on nothing but gut feelings, while not quoting the rest of my post, where I clearly stated WHY I believe that GGG is not a scam. That's what guys like you do: Trying to bring information out of context and then reframing it. But I can do you a favour and make it easily to read, so that someone like you can actually understand, why I believe GGG will deliver: 1. PoE1 is a huge success 2. PoE1 was supported for many years very actively 3. GGG kept their "no pay2win" policy up until today for PoE1 4. GGG clearly communicated their holiday break after PoE2 EA release 5. GGG delivered a meaningful update right after their break 6. GGG already said that MTX from PoE1 will work in PoE2 at some point 7. GGG gave us the stashtabs from PoE1 in PoE2 for free (their main income source) 8. GGG gave us an interview and clearly communicated with us 2 weeks ago 9. GGG has no authority over anyone, so there is no need to defend them blindly 10. No company reacts to EVERYTHING someone posts on a forum, even during EA So no, I'm not blindly defending GGG. It's the opposite. I'm very critically with devs, but I'm also reasonable. I look at the past of a company to make a guess on how they will perform in the future. And since GGG did great in the past for a game company, I expect them to do well in the future too. " And this is absolutely wrong. You probably talk about a few EA games like Baldurs Gate 3, where the devs had really close interaction with the players. But (1) that's not always necessary to create a good game and (2) there are MANY EA games that never got out of EA and MANY EA games, where devs did not communicate during EA, but still delivered a good game. GGG does know what people write here, they just don't comment on it and discuss this internally. And btw.: Even if GGG would say today "We will change trials", tomorrow new people will come and complain about the same things again. And after they have changed it, people will complain about the changes. At some point, you will never satisfy all players. You have to accept, that some players will stay angry and maybe leave the game behind. So there's no reason to communicate, because there will always be unhappy people who will tell GGG "If you don't change this, your game is doooooomed!" " They literally gave an interview 2 weeks ago and you talk about "no communication". Lol Your problem is, that they didn't talk about the things you wanted to hear and therefore for you it feels like they don't communicate at all. That's some selective perception you have there, mate. Last edited by AceNightfire#0980 on Jan 28, 2025, 7:15:36 AM

" tencent bought the shares of GGG off chris, jonathan and eric i believe, that happened 7 years ago. we dont know how much they paid them for their shares but it needed a certain kind of legal approval as the sum was over $100 million. so they had enough money that they never needed to work another day in their lives 7 years ago. what did they decide to do with their lives now they were multimillionaires who could do anything? they decided to make poe2 because they want to make the greatest arpg of all time. " amazing. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

" Funny. That's the reaction of someone who just lost an argument. Have a nice day mate. |

" If I'm still here month after month (on the Titanic, as you said), then it stands to reason that the Titanic is still here. Or it's going down, but so slowly that I'll still be on it for months to come? You gotta make SOME sense bud. |

" Well, then try to convince me. I'm open for a real discussion. I was delivering solid reasons why GGG seems to be trustworthy. They communicate enough (at least for me and many others), they did a great job in the past with PoE1 and they got their money from tencent 7 years ago and are still there, delivering a complete new game. Now tell me (and the others) why GGG is so untrustworthy? As a grown-up, you can probably do this, can't you? Last edited by AceNightfire#0980 on Jan 28, 2025, 7:23:27 AM

The lack of communication, but knowing they have new classes coming out, lets me know what they're working on. I also believe that GGG would like to communicate, but since 10c is calling the shots, they shut that down. They went from posting on X to forgetting their login info.
But other than that, as an excuse, my trust and faith have gone way south since my initial impression. That also makes me not want to have loose pockets with this game. Those items in my wishlist will sit. It's not my loss, seeing how the only value I hold to GGG is through MTX. I'm a skeptical user and borderline hater.
