Get rid of XP loss on death.

I agree, the loss of experience is insanely annoying!
This is the reason that after one of the leagues PoE 1 game ceased to exist for me. I am willing to tolerate the lack of drops in the game, but the loss of experience is not! I was looking forward to PoE 2 and what did I see? GGG added this crap here too.....It's just a shame!
Imagine that you took your dream car from the showroom, it drives fast it is comfortable, but in the back seat is a pile of shit....... That's how I see PoE 2 and it's sad, the game already has a penalty in the form of card loss and drops.

Most ppl could not even drive their "dream car" correctly and would probably crash it, then blame it on the car, seller, constructor... :D

Unjoyable game play udder a waste of my time/effort am to the point of quit myself

No matter just fall on deaf ears

At a certain point players either farm juiced content for loot and risk dying/staying at the current level, or dedicate themselves to safe/mundane xp grinding. Most players get to a point where the grind isnt worth the handful of skill points to be gained. so instead they decide lvl ~90 is the max level for them and farm gear instead. If you dont find grinding for gear fun and can't enjoy the game without an xp bar filling... well you won't enjoy poe.
"Beidat honored the pact, though Mancy wouldn't take off Doryani’s prototype."
I am also in favor of abolishing the penalty or even changing it. What is the purpose of the penalty? To make players leave the game? A game should be fun and not frustrating. My son and a friend of mine were enthusiastic players during the campaign, but they left the game in the endgame because they fundamentally do not support this type of game mechanic.

I could live with the fact that you only receive XP earned on a map after completing the map. But you should never be completely regressed to the beginning of a level! This fact stops players from experimenting with builds and instead play with any pre-made builds that promise the most success!

This is not true about everyone. But if you came to PoE having an easy time and get to 100 quickly then yes, use one of broken builds which will be nerfed soon. But if sou have some basic knowledge about the game you can make pretty viable builds even when experimenting. Experimenting and "creating shitty builds and expecting success" are two different things.

What progress are you losing by losing exp?

In the span of the game you get 99 skill points from leveling if you get to 100 and 24 weapon skill points. That equals 123.

Let's say you got to level 85 a fairly easy place to make it, you now have if you obtained all the weapon passives 108 skill points do you honestly believe having 15 more skill points is gonna make you any stronger then you were 15 levels ago?

What progress are you even talking about? The level number growing? Because I can tell you now if you're dying that much at level 85 you're doing content that's too hard for you. And it's your gear and current point allocation. Not those extra 15 points that need to be worked on.

Seems like you all want the dopamine hit of leveling up, and for some reason you think that equates to progress or in some way character power, but the fact is you will be no better off at 100 then you are at 85. You're still gonna be dying just as much and you still won't feel substantially stronger. Gaining levels isn't the problem it's going in with gear and a build that are bad that causes you to die not lack of levels and an exp penalty.

This is an outdated, miserable, and frustrating game mechanic that should have stayed in the 90's. You guys know better than this, you are better game developers than this. There are ways to punish players for poor play or mistakes that don't involve removing multiple hours of hard work and progress.

The punishment to mistake ratio is completely insane. A single small mistake should NEVER be able to set you back multiple hours of progress.

Remove this stupid mechanic. It's bad enough we lose the waystone, the node modifiers, any instill, and often have to redo the map anyways. The XP loss is frustrating nonsense. Get rid of it.

remove yourself from poe or git gut and dont die, problem soloved

yes lets ignore how insanely buggy the game is, and how many enemies the devs need to nerf cause they were just straight over tuned and killing people off screen.

yeah just totally all skill issue though /s

Mob tuning, sure.

Remove xp loss? Why - if they tune the mobs which they are doing every patch, what is the problem?
