" It's not "suffer by killing every monster 1 by 1" that would fix PoE2 or be what people even really want. It's just that everything is balanced around killing more fodder enemies faster and faster is the problem. The entire game is just designed and balanced around exponentially scaling more and more wave-clear and pure 1 shot power for bosses instead of actually engaging combat and play-style/build diversity. This is a massive copy pasted mistake from PoE1 that fits even worse into PoE2 with more painful symptoms. We have an "illusion of a power fantasy" right now that actually interferes with good game design. The entire video, especially towards the end, covers it all very well. Yeah, 100% this. Campaign 1-3 I'm engaging in mechanics, playing an action game. Campaign cruel, sure, things are getting easier, feeling a bit more like I'm just solving a build, but still can be engaging.
Transition to maps? Just fully build solving. Spreadsheet, when is POB coming out? etc. Sure you could artificially try and play it for engagement, but you'd be fighting everything the game is telling you to do. |

Already seen it in other thread, but good video. A bit too much rambling at times and I disagree with a few points but generally spot on. One of the best feedback videos I've seen on PoE2.

" Watched all of it. Agree 100% with it. The main points 1. PoE1 endgame sucks, that is why majority of players quit 1 month in the league. We don’t need PoE1 endgame in PoE2 to drag the game down. 2. Every mechanic in the endgame is catering to one build and one build only - AoE masher. Every solution to every problem comes down to simply “1 shot aoe them from range”. There is no build variety, just shades of the same one build. 3. Devs seem to be out of touch with what player experience of a new player who hasn’t played PoE1 for a decade or ARPgs for 2 decades is.
